Giving a Serum to a Child?

All three of my scientist's daily duties involve giving one serum or another to a specific alien visiting the lab; this particular alien happens to be a child and the option doesn't present itself. Is it just my game or can Sims not give a serum to a child? If true, she's gonna have a bad day at work!

Try looking under the friendly section, and see if there is an option to " test serum"

I've checked. Test Serum shows up when she talks to adult aliens and her co-workers, but not the alien that is a child. I'm guessing it's an age thing. Unfortunately for her, the directive is very specific to give the serum, tainted serum, etc., to him and she isn't able. Oh, well! Thank you anyway.
