TS4 was going in that direction until EA changed their minds and made it they way it is now. They didn't want what happened with SimCity to happen with an online multiplayer game such as this. Go play Second Life or imvu if you want this type of play.
As a completely separate side game that has zero influence or impact on the main numbered game, sure. I wouldn't touch it with a 30,000 mile pole, but it wouldn't be ruining the main series so it'd be fine.
No thank you. If I wanted a multiplayer game I would have bought one. Left Sim City on the shelf for that very reason and didn't get it until they had an off line option. Now I wish I would have left it there.
