Can't have baby at Hospital.

Disclaimer: I have no mods installed, I didn't edit my hospital, Everything is pure "vanilla". I have cleared caches, and I have repaired my game. I made a thread about it in the GTW section, but since it's a completely unmodded game, I thought I should post here. Other people are having the same issue too.

The reason for the creation of this test file was because I was having this issue with an edited-hospital, modded, cc filled save game. I figured "hey let's try it with nothing to see if it's the game or me." Well here's what happened:

Cassandra went into labour, so I sent her and her husband, Malcolm, to the hospital to have the baby. The doctor and nurse were just standing outside, doing nothing. I've never ever had a baby at the hospital before so I figured, "maybe the receptionist will call them in." So I had Cassandra waddle to the receptionist to check in...The social dropped into the que and it played out like it should, no failed social. The receptionist used the phone or whatever, but the doctor was STILL standing there. Meanwhile, and a couple sim-hours later, Cassandra is just standing there in labour and Malcolm is wandering the hospital. The Doctor and Nurse are STILL standing there.
Finally the receptionist does something other than play around on the computer: He gets up and waves! Then leaves. He, the Doctor and the nurse leave the lot...only to be replaced. I hoped maybe with would work, even though I knew it wouldn't...The new receptionist came and sat down, but the doctor and nurse are in their spot on the sidewalk. I tried to reset everybody, but that made the option to check in with the receptionist disappear completely. Cassandra is stuck in labour, at the hospital...going on 26 hours.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Baby Bump.

Here's everything I tried:
First file had mods.
Second file had no mod.

First full attempt - sent sim with spouse to an edited hospital. Waited half a day after checking in before I got fed up. Exited the game without saving.
Second full attempt (same file) - sent sim by herself to an edited hospital. Didn't check in and just waited. Nothing. Waited with the doctor (who was later replaced as soon as it was time for a household sim to go to work) Got fed up and exited.
Third full attempt (same file) - Had household doctor quit job before sending that sim with the pregnant sim to the hospital. Checked in an hour after waiting on the sidewalk. Pregnant sim was prompted to go to the hospital while at the hospital, she then changed into the hospital gown and all the staff was replaced. Was there for over a full day. Had to cheat needs so no one had failures.
Fourth full attempt (same file) - sent sim alone, didn't check in. Waited til the moodlet changed to baby time. She changed into the hospital gown, but the doctor was still standing there. Had to reset her to send her home. Came back and the doctor was still standing there, rinse and repeat. Finally got fed up and had the baby at home.
After that file was a total failure, I decided to take out ALL the mods, the cc, and repair the game. Loaded my old vanilla test file.

My Sim also couldn't give birth at the hospital (edited). I exited without saving. I loaded the game and send my Sim to a hospital again and it was fine. She went in, changed into a hospital gown, waited for a sec and then went to the OR, a doc came.

If the doc keeps standing on the sidewalk, maybe you should call for her/him so that she/he would enter the hospital lot?

Tried calling the doctor in. Tried all of it.

Change your EA folder name to EA1 or whatever and start the game (it's gonna create a new EA folder). Start a new save and try having a baby at the hospital.

Or have you tried that too already?

I really shouldn't have to do that though, and honestly I've tried so much that I don't want to go through another 3 days of a pregnancy.

I've repaired after taking out all cc and mods, saves except my test file. When I get home, I'm loading my save to Dropbox so crin can hopefully figure out what's wrong.

But that could determine if the problem is in the game files (and the game needs to be reinstalled) or the problem is in your EA folder and/or your save.

I know looking for the reason of a problems "plums". I hate doing that. -_-

I didn't know you were supposed to 'check in' All I do is travel to the hospital and just wait. Eventually she will waddle on over to the machine.

I posted a list of what I did...I tried not checking in too. Nothing...because the doctor just stands there doing idle animations.

@crinrict it's still not happening. The only difference is, now when I arrive, she's in the hospital gown and the nurse goes into the hospital. The doctor still just stands on the sidewalk.

I get the same bug too, playing a clean install of Sims 4 without CC and its even a new game. The pregnant mother just stands there after "checking in" with that pulsing heart icon over her head that indicates she is a hospital patient, but none of the doctor's or nurses respond to her at all. After a while she "times out" when the receptionist leaves for the day. If you try to check in again at that point, it happens all over again.

It's been 3 months since the original poster started this topic and I am still having this problem. A lot of new content has been added since then and it still isn't fixed.

My pregnant sims can not have baby when I accompany her to the hospital. Any idea how to fix this? I've tried the info that was posted.

I still haven't fixed it. I've honestly given up on it.

I'm having this exact same issue. I tried with and without mods. New save game and all that. The doctors and nurses just stand outside on the sidewalk... Where the hell is the fix already?

Hello @Moonflowfly. I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue as well. Perhaps you may like to press "me too" on the above link and/or post your experiences there as well.
Try repairing the game, just in case that may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
