What are some of your favorite recipes? You can provide the recipe, name of it, or link to it. I am a culinary arts graduate working in the food industry. I am looking for some insight and feedback on what recipes you like and what makes them a good recipe.
This is one of my favorites. It's lemon salmon with creamy dill sauce. I found it on Pinterest and I absolutely love it.

Ooh, I have a favorite salmon recipe also. It's salmon stuffed with a cream cheese and spinach mixture. I haven't made it in quite a while, but it's so delicious.

Nigel Slater's Salmon and Herbs recipe.. I don't have a link as it is from his 30 minute cook book.
I also make Nigella Lawson's Curry in a Hurry from her "kitchen express" book. It might be on her website too. It's a really quick thai green curry.
I'm watching Nigella on The Taste right now, actually! I haven't ever made one of her recipes, though!

Mince pies are incredibly popular over here at Christmas and are super delicious.
But I'm sure there is a F.R.I.E.N.D.S episode where Rachel actually puts meat into a trifle haha.
Nigella is amazing, you must try something, her italian recipes are pretty good - i love watching her programmes, she always makes me laugh too.

I usually have baked asparagus with the salmon. Nothing too fancy. Just asparagus with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper.
I will definitely try some of her recipes. I don't really watch her very much, because the only thing I see her on is The Taste.
I use her swiss roll recipe all the time but i cant find it online.
Her french fondant fancies are delicious and super fun to make.

That sounds really good. In the Spring, I love to get fresh asparagus from my aunt, it grows in her backyard.
I'm not trying to blow up your thread, I'm just such as food person. At work, I love to ask my co-workers what they're making for dinner and whatnot!
Rosemow, they both are really delicious! You should try them out some time! What is your favorite recipe to make or cook?

Here's a recipe for delicious monster cookies. They are very soft and doughy inside when you bake them. Soft, doughy cookies are my favorite kind of cookie. http://sallysbakingaddiction.com/2013/01/15/soft-baked-monster-cookies/
Good, I'm glad!
I loooove monster cookies, but I've never tried making them. There used to be a cookie shop by my job that had really good monster cookies, but they closed down. I'll have to try that recipe!
I was searching through my photo gallery for pictures of my croissant making adventure of last year. One afternoon, I decided to try to make croissants and they turned out wonderful. I have one picture that shows all the super tiny, thin layers of the croissant dough. I thought you might appreciate it! Most people just don't get it! All the layersssss! They were so good, but took so much time and patience! If I end up finding it and can remember how, I will post it on here!
I have made these cranberry and pistachio cookies many times. They taste very christmassy, i made a batch for my friends last week and they disappeared in minutes!
You can swap the cranberry and pistachios for other fruits or nuts or even chocolate chips as I do sometimes.

Those croissants sound delicious. I hope you find the picture of them. I would love to see it.
I have a picture of caramel apple pie I made last week. I posted it in another thread recently. But, I felt like I could post it here as well.
That pie looks amaaaaazing! I love apple pie!
Caramel apple pie, I eat plain, but plain apple pie I like to eat with a little bit of milk poured on it. Dos anyone else do that?
There are so many recipes I want to make now!

I wish I would've taken pictures, but on Christmas Day I made a Prime Rib Roast. Well, it was choice, not prime. So i guess it was a standing rib roast, but it was boneless so it wasn't really standing either!
It was the second time I've made prime rib ever, so I was still kind of nervous about it. I based the recipe off of Chef John at Food Wishes prime rib recipe. I also used his cooking method, which is the closed oven door method. Have you heard of that? It's where you multiply the exact weight of your rib roast by 5 and put it in at 500 degrees for that amount of minutes. You then turn the oven off for two hours so the meat can slow roast from the residual heat of the oven. At the end of the two hours, the roast should be a perfect medium rare. It has worked really well both times! I use a digital probe thermometer, just in case, but I wouldn't have needed to! Before cooking, I covered it in a seasoned butter mixture. It turned out so wonderful, my family loved it.
I actually have a second roast in my refrigerator that I will need to make soon. Some of my family couldn't come to Christmas so I only ended up having to cook one of my roasts.
With the prime rib I made some simple, fresh green beans, crock-pot mushrooms, au jus, fresh baked bread, and compound butter. My aunt made mashed potatoes to go with it, also.
Do you ever make prime rib? (Or not prime rib like me, since it's so expensive! Choice rib?) If you do, how do you make it?
750g (3 large) Bramley apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
250g (2 small) Cox’s apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
50g sultanas
50g light muscovado sugar
50g caster sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
½ tsp ground cloves
A little butter, for greasing
(sh)For the cinnamon crumble topping
170g self-raising flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
50g caster sugar
50g light muscovado sugar
130g chilled butter, cubed
What to do:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan180°C/gas 6. To make the topping, place the flour in a large bowl with the cinnamon and sugars, mix, then add the butter. Rub the mixture together with your fingers until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
2. Mix the filling ingredients together in a large bowl, then spoon evenly into a lightly buttered, 1.4-litre ovenproof dish. Evenly spoon the crumble topping over the filling.
3. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave for 10 minutes, then serve with a jug of warm custard.
