if Maxis promise to complete the game via release free patches with gameplay features to enrich the base game (like they did with ghosts, pools, careers) regularly as how frequent they release their dlcs.
we overpaid what we got. I wouldn't mind if they locate sims 4 at PVZ garden warfare's position (original price $29.99 ). If they want to sell it as expensive as Dragon Age 3 please be worthy of their price. Moreover, Maxis could earn money from the expansions, and i said i would buy them as long as they promise to continue to enrich the base game via patches. In fact, the more ironic is that, even PVZ garden warfare's price is so low, POPCAP release all dlcs via patches, which means is totally free. the only thing they sell is their in-game coins, which can be earned via gameplay fairly easy.
No but apparently we can pay for a empty product that fails to deliver what the old ones give.... Pool were not for free dear... Pools are just the reintroduction of something that should be in the base game... and there are a lot of bigger things missing....
They are not gifting nothing... They are just deliver what people payed for or expected from the product... Sadly i don't think they will deliver other relevant for free.. With the sims 4 we lost a lot of core feature of the game.... Maxis don't need to be defended at all..

Doesn't matter. Even if you feel you paid too much , they can't.give.everything.away.for.free.
I will gladly hand over all of the money in my savings account to EA.
Me too, its terrible lmao. It's always been this way for me, from sims 1-4. I love new content. If it was ridiculously overpriced and I wasn't interested in it, then obviously I'd pass (like Katy Pery Sweet Treats- no thank you!!!) but for the most part I buy everything lol.
Admittedly, my favorite part of all the expansions were the new premade sims. I've always loved having a family with a story to follow, and my own sims & stories bore the heck out of me.
It would depend on what the content would be, exactly.
I am a little irritated that the patches come with some odd glitches and think the game would have been prepared better anyway. I like TS4 but I'm just gonna be honest. With DLCs, the first thing that comes to mind is how it might make for some strange defects to happen.

That has always been the case with every patch and every new expansion and will always be the case. At least now the fixes come way more quickly. Used to be we didn't get a patch until right before an expansion.

This is a lie. Guru Grant said they will continue free patches in future.
Wait, this is pretty simple.
Did you pay to have pools in your copy of The Sims 4?
Answer: No.
How you can say that doesn't mean pools were free I have no idea.

it has always been this way.

I'm moving on to consoles.
It's the next gen...
The second part , maybe. I buy what looks fun , and Outdoor Retreat looks fun.
The Herbalist career , bear costume , tents , and coolers are calling me!
You'll be back.
