To Maxis regarding CAST ( a reasonable request)

The fact remains that adding CAST into the game will impact performance, it's impossible to add more components into a game without it impacting performance to some extent, SO....

Add CAST as an external tool. Make a tool that has a color wheel and a variety of patterns that we can use to recolor the clothes to our hearts content and then import or remove them from the game as we desire.

This way people get their full color customization while each person's game only has to process as many colors as they choose to import in thereby providing the customization many desire with as little additional impact on performance as possible.

Those that are happy with the current selection never have to use the tool and it's existence won't impact performance since it's external, meanwhile those that do want it can customize as they desire and any impact on their performance is in their hands as to how many variations they choose to import.

So, basically a HomeCrafter (which was for S2) for S4. I'm all for that. BodyShop would be nice too. I used those a lot.
Dissatisfied with Sims 4 and hoping for a better Sims 5

I agree that a bodyshop-like tool would make people who miss CASt happy. I don't see why not, since TS2 had Bodyshop. I used to make some recolors there for fun. :)

I'd be happy with JUST a color wheel alone with nothing more.

I don't care too much about clothing colors. However, I REALLY want to change colors for the furniture and wallpapers.... They must add that kind of functionality to the game... (and in-game... not outside it...)

I very much like the idea of a separate body shop and color wheel for those who want it.

However I remember Graham saying something like they would have to redo every object to be able to have that editing functionality. It would be good to put in the new system sooner rather than later, if they were going to, because the more and more objects there are, the harder it will be to do that.

I do hope cast is added as an external tool!!

Has anyone really tested it if it's true? CASt, after all, is really just an external tool. It doesn't load while your sims are busy at work, cooking, socializing, etc.
