i was on www.modthesims.info and they have loads of mods for the game, but i was just wondering if anyone has actually got any of the mods and if so how the game reacted with them?
the delphy slider hack was fun but it would crash my game, i have quite a few others and no problems, one awesome one speeds up your lifetime happiness points http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=357303
I use them all the time, along with others. The thing about mods at any site though is that you have to be smart with them, as it says in another post. Most mods that go in the Mod Package Folder, shouldn't give you too much trouble. If the game is updated you can easily remove those until your mods are updated. When putting them back in, add a two or three at a time so if one is causing a problem, it will be easy to narrow it down. Check the comments section to see if anyone else is having trouble and why. (You can put one back in at a time, but if you have a lot it can become tedious)
It's when the mods change another game file that you can run into trouble. But it's Mod The Sims has always worked well for me.
A littel tip,DON'T TRUST CC!
It made my game extremly laggy!
o i've put cc in my game and it works fine but ive never put a mod that like changes the game except from the official sims 3 website in it thats why i was asking if anyone had tried any of them of the modthesims.info to see if i should bother with downloading any of them :?:
Well it is good, and if you read directions carefully before installing anything (Mods included) then you should be fine, also you can post for help over there and most creators will respond.
The scale U.S.A. is
EC (early childhood)
E (everyone)
E 10+ (everyone 10 yrs of age or older)
T (teen)
M (mature)
AO (adults Only)
I understand that much, but I can't tell you what it would be rated, as I don't understand how severe each rating is. Like in Aus, Sims 2 was M anyway. In America it was Teen, I think.

MTS is a banned subject here, I'm pretty sure of that.
Not banned. You simply aren't allowed to link any material that would raise the rating bar of the game. (It's not listed with the bribed post of other Sims3 CC sites, true. But doesn't indicate a banned subject.)
The problem is some of the content on the pay sites they list have the same maturity level that raise the bar above mature.
And Lilq156,
Australia is very picky about their games. They banned Fallout2 for a while because it contained the use of meds to 'boost' your character. They saw it as promoting drug use and said "Nuh uh!" The sexual indication (woohoo, blurred nudity, romantic interactions) and possibly even the sub-violent, yet hilarious, deaths) would be enough to give it a mature rating over there. I'm honestly surprised it didn't get a mature level in the States.

o i didnt know that i thought it was spose to be a good website?
That depends on your computer spec.
It is a good website, but it contains content that would raise the rating of the game. So EA doesn't like it.
o oopps i didnt know :?
Not a clue, I would guess it depends on your own opinion. Plus in America, it's probably different scales than to in Aus, if that makes sense.

The game wasn't that bad.

The M rating in australia basically means it's recommended for people over 15.
Huh, that's like, R here. R = 18+
ModTheSims is one of the most respected fansites- definitely not a banned subject.
I always wanted to go to Austrlia.
