Oh WOW! I saw this in the gallery and added to my favourites immediately! Great architecture! I just love the roof and the deck areas! I like how you have added the bathtub and made it look like a hottub! Clever idea! Loving the bar area too!
Andalucia is a very nice starter home! The water feature in the front area of the build looks very nice! It looks very nice how you have placed the plants, flowers and rocks around the water! The paving there looks great. The front porch looks great and it looks great how you have done the wraparound side porch! Sims will enjoy growing plants in the gardening pots. Great layout of the interior of the home. The green colour scheme of the bedroom looks nice. Nice pattern that you have used for the bedroom walls,The yellow colour of the kitchen walls looks nice. It looks great how you have used the fencing to separate off the kitchen from the living room. Nice exterior texture of the home. The home suits well Oasis Springs.
It is a great home!
@DippyDesigns - Love it! Great use of the angles to give it a landscaped pond and the elongated deck up to the front door. Another cute and charming build!
Lovely starter Dippy! I adore the architecture and the garden! So cute! Did your sim live in the house to bring down the price of the house? I know we used to do that in sims 3.
@yanti68 - I did play-test the house, I always do just to be sure they work, and I did notice a fall in price but kept adding plants as the price fell until I was happy with the lot. I just tested this out with another starter I am working on and immediately my sim testers moved in the price fell by over $2000 so I will have to pay close attention next time to work out the exact reduction. My sim testers are now moved in and I am keeping an eye on the price...you may recognise them

Anyway, very nice work on Andalucia Looks great how you have done the landscaping

Awwww! The testers together made me smile! I recognise you, Bree, Cath and myself! Such a fun idea to have each others simself in game! Thanks for letting me know about the starter price. Starters are such a challenge isn't it? Feel inspired to build a starter now. By the way, did you add your starter home in the starter thread? More people need to see this beauty!
Hi @yanti68, it was fun to see what happened, basically a lot of grilled cheese, chatting and reading, our sims all got along very well, although I did end up doing all the cleaning as I built mine fore testing so have made her neat and Cath went to work, you cooked a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches lol! We all got along like a house on fire
As to the price dropping it seemed not to fall after the initial reduction. Even thought the price of objects like the toilet fell in value, the house did not?

Thanks, I am sick of the default view on the gallery which is exactly why I built it diagonally

LOL! I do like cooking in real life so it made sense that I made a lot of grilled cheese! LOL! It is interesting what you said about the house price. Hmmm...doesn't it help if you have a handy sim in house? That used to work for sims 3!

Eastleigh Family Sized Starter - $20,000 (Yes, they'll be broke...but happy!)
I decided to do another starter as I am trying to work out how to reduce the build costs. This time I challenged myself to do a real family sized starter so this one has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with room to expand and landscape the garden.
Eastleight Family Sized starter is very nice! Very nice exterior of it! The roofing and the texture of the exterior looks great. Sims will enjoy growing plants in the garden pots there. It looks nice how you have placed the garden pots either side of the front doors. It looks great how you have placed the windows in the build. Sims will enjoy sitting outdoors in the sunshine at the picnic table enjoying eating a meal. It is great that you have designed the home for a family and have three bedrooms. The pattern that you have used in the kids bedroom and the nursery looks cute! Great study desk nook in the kids room for them to enjoy sitting at ahd reading or using a computer. Great layout of the home. The blue colour that you have used for the walls in the living room area looks nice. Sims will enjoy sitting resting on the sofa there, watching tv or reading a book , enjoying the sunlight coming in through the windows.
It is a very nice starter home
Dippy, Eastleigh is Adorable! I can't believe how Quickly you build, yet all the homes are so lovely and comfy looking. You're so versatile! Your moderns as well as cabins and traditional's are equally gorgeous!
I got such a kick out of seeing Bree, Yanti and myself with your simself! I didn't know you had put your sim in the gallery. I will be snagging both her and Yanti when I go in game later. I already have Bree and some others. I can't wait till I get a chance to put them altogether and see what happens, lol!
As far as the price on the starters, I did have my sim live there for a bit and the price definitely came down. I wondered at the time if it was going to be like it was in Sims 3, as far as the depreciation goes? I will pay more attention to what happens with my next build.
@dippydesigns love your houses. I had never thought of having cupboard above beds. You certainly have given me a few ideas to try out. Will be looking for your designs in the gallery.

I Love It! Your starter home is very awesome. I love the way on how you handle budgets on building starter homes since it was very challenging to me.
