That doesn't matter, the key code is still linked to your Origin account. So you could sell the physical copy but the person who got it wouldn't be able to activate the game.

So they can't use it without registering it as with the Sims 3?
The game relies on origin so can you re sell the game or pass it on to your friends (without giving away your Origin account).
Edit: I have a physical copy to the game (CD).
no once the key is registered with your account it can't be used by anyone else
if you sold it to someone you would be ripping them off because it can't be activated again it's the downside of games using things like origin and steam

You can resell the Sims 3.
Yeah because The Sims 3 doesn't use the same activation system from TS4.
So they can't use it without registering it as with the Sims 3?
Unfortunately not. You have to log in to Origin to even launch the game now.
Whilst the secondary market is great for consumers it's not for the game companies as they get nothing from second hand sales. So we'll see more and more attempts to stifle this practice.

So I guess this game has no resale value.
No. Value and this game do not belong in a sentence together, unless it's a negative statement.
Me: Sims 3 is that you can sell the game on, but the second hand buyer cannot connect the game to origin.
[EA Agent]: Yes that is correct
[EA Agent]: It is the same.
Me: So the buyer CAN play the game if they don't mind not being connected to Origin?
EA Agent: Correct

Value is different for different people. Since you ridiculously seem to see no positive value in this game, why are you on these forums again...

Becausde I love The Sism so much I desperately look for redeeming value in TS4, only to be disappointed again and again.
Every time a new feature entices me, the next thread reports even more bugs, short-comings and head-scratching design decisions that break my heart all over again.

Lies! I have a hard copy and it isn't even aware Origin exists
*goes to check if that's true*
OP, did you not read the license agreement? I'm 99% sure you can't resell this game. I warned about this last year.
Going to have to agree with Cinebar on this one. EA has waged war on the used game market. That's why even though I don't, I'm not even mad at people who pirate EA's games because they kind of deserve it.

Plus there are tons of second hand game shops.
