I actually like this feature, but I sure hope it's easy to make money as bills are going to be a lot higher than previous games.
"Bills. Let me talk about bills. They have teeth now. They are calculated based on the total value of the house, including objects in the family inventory. The only thing they don’t tax is cash on hand. Her first set of bills, back when she was just furniture on the lawn, came to $750. Yes, you read that right, $750. "

YAY! Finally a challenge like in TS1 and TS2. Sorry, but it's about time.
I agree, it will be nice to actually feel challenged, in sims 3 it was far too easy to make money.

Yes, and instead of a repo man. I hated that guy btw you get your utilities turned off. If you want more realism I don't think it gets any realer than that. I'm not sure which Guru said it but once your bill becomes delinquent it just gets worst the more you don't pay. *Sorry, if this stuff was indicated in the link, I haven't followed it yet*

Most households have way more money than that, though, it is just that we buy beds, showers and fridges with that money instead.

Exactly! I've been playing TS2 again over the past few days and it was such a challenge! That game has so much more depth! I love TS3 but I'd forgotten just how easy everything was and how much was just handed to our sims compared to TS2.
Sadly, it seems that with this new game, they've taken away even more of the challenge.
