luckyheather put a few more like that in the water and people will think Isla Paradiso is actually in China. 8)
Kinda reminds of pictures of boats used in China a few hundred years ago when they had a massive fleet of navy ships for trade and travel I have seen. I love history and can imagine this one floating around with the other ships...had they had someone of your great creativity that is
Wow thanks, I will have to google to see what they looked like, I love History too from all over the World.
I like that you made it into a restaurant. Where I live there are a couple of boats that are restaurants including one that looks like it belongs along side of your pirate boat and yes they do travel up and down the river they are on.
Cool! My inspiration was the pirate ship bistro that came with Barnacle Bay...
For all of you who want my lot here is the link for the file in 4share because i can't put the lot in Exchange or in my studio... i don't understand why... the lot upload in launcher but don't appear in the sims 3 site... and it's not the first lot i upload with this problem...
Hi Poffpoff2 I wondered if you used 3rd party CC when creating that lovely Pirate ship? If you have that is possibly the reason why it will not upload to your studio. I have problems uploading when a build is above 6mb but I think because my internet connection is too slow.

Thank you to Hilary (luckyheather) for pointing me to this awesome thread. There is such creativity here and some really cool looking houseboats. I am definitely bookmarking this thread.
This is my first attempt at a houseboat and as you will see it has a specific theme (created for Blythelyre's Themed Lot Building Contest). Now that I'm done I definitely have the bug to create another one. (Just a funny note -- when taking my photos, I came across that giant monster thing in the water alongside my boat....I have to say that it really took me by surprise, because I didn't know anything about it, lol.)
This safari themed houseboat has everything your single sim or sim couple needs. The African Queen is decorated with safari wildlife in mind with it’s jungle animal print fabrics, rattan and warm woods.
The Main deck features an open living area with kitchen and a bar and wraparound outdoor deck space. Deck 2 is where you’ll find the helm compartment with it’s large windows and skylight roofing. This deck also consists of a reading room and a spacious media room. Deck 3 (the Sun Deck) is where you can do your workout while taking in the beautiful views, then relax at the art easel or play chess on the covered outdoor deck. Deck 4 (the Sky Deck) is a place to sunbathe or enjoy the stars either in the hot tub or using the telescope. Below deck you'll find the sleeping quarters. There’s a master bedroom and ensuite bath, a full bathroom, a guest room with bunk beds and a laundry room. You can enjoy the ocean life scenery from every room on this deck.
Oh wow, that is so fantastic Hilary!!!! You certainly deserve to have those featured. Both of those houseboats were very unique and well done. Congratulations girl!!!

P.S. And I bet you are really enjoying your Friday with your new world! Happy building!!!
I have one houseboat built so far called the Windjammer 6 and it's not very big or expensive for Sims to buy.It can be a starter home and handle a small family later on.
There's a wheelhouse on deck with a ladder to get below to the living area down below and another ladder to get to the rooftop deck.It had basic furnishings with bikes for land transport and wind surfers for water transport.
This is CC free except for recolors with CASt in the game.
