It's a very cool concept, I just really, really, REALLY wish it was a bit cheaper. I would never be able to justify buying this until it goes on sale. And by that, I don't mean the 200 sp sale it's at right now. I mean something putting it at around 1000 sp or lower, maybe a holiday sale in December or something.
Congrats to the people who have got it already! I just hope that it's not a new store trend to make the prices of venues worth more than all the individual items.
Tks as always for the reviews. They always help me decide whether to buy or not. This time though I think I will just wait for the oven to come up for individual purpose lol. I can always just build my own venue, I don't need more unwanted clutter.
1. It is not a new lot type correct? So what type of lots can it be used on?
2. How does the income work if you own it? Is it a daily thing like resorts and can you check finances? Or is it weekly like owning a different venue?
Thanks for your help in adavance!
1. There is no new lot top. It was recommended you leave it as Visitors Allowed
2. You are paying the salaries for the chef, and no you cannot check finances. Profits function the same like the ones that were introduced when Ambitions came out.
Thanks for the info! So do you think it is very profitable as an owned buisness if you are having to pay the chef fee every day? I'm on the fence about this because I would really like it if I can use it as a profit making tool/buisness like resorts. However, if it is not very profitable to own and the added up chef fees out-weigh the weekly payout, I don't think I would use it. I wouldn't have my Sim own it if it wasn't profitable and I'm not the type of player who would have my Sim eat out at it a bunch otherwise. Thanks again for your help.
I just quickly read the review and it seems interesting. I just wonder where the price of the oven came from. I can't find it listed anywhere on site with its individual price/value. I would expect it would be more expensive than normal premium content because it comes with an NPC chef. Just wondering. I'm sure the price is listed somewhere and I just haven't come across it yet.

It says 600 Simpoints and crossed out Not for Individual Sale
Great review, I'm always stunned how quickly you get these up. Having played the set tonight I think the 10/10 score is spot on.
It works like a charm, very pleasantly surprised by that to be honest. Chef has been quick and efficient each time.(Doesn't drop the food over you though, would have been a nice touch for old times sake ) Really easy to click on the stove and set everything up and no need to actually own the venue, not sure I see the point of that. Love the venue, but have had more fun creating my own, they've all worked superbly.
But yes, to echo many, this should always have been in the game!

Thank you. That's what I was looking for but couldn't find.
How does my sim purchase the lot once it's in the world? When I click the lot, the only option is to visit it, and it doesn't appear when I look for lots to buy using the phone.
That was my question, too. Sorry, it's been a long day, but what am I missing...?

I love the balance you bring in your reviews

Nope, that feature is not something you would find in a set from the store, rather an update to the game.

And the other customers... Well, the only ones who ate took the food out from the fridge and put it in the oven themselves.
I wanted open restaurants in the game, but I'm not buying this set. :?

Haha, a very good one indeed!
That is one thing I should have pointed out and experienced myself, which I'm updating my review.
I wished the menu had interactions like "order food for.." and that sim would come to the nearest menu and you would order for both sims.
Nope, your sim cannot be hired as a chef if you are the current household.

Also, the lot would have to be designated to like a Hangout or some other community lot type other than Visitors Allowed.
