I'm restarting the challenge from scratch. Is there a decent blank world on the exchange to download? I had to totally uninstal and reinstall my entire sims collection. I kind of think buldozing all the lots in a premade town for this challenge really screwed up my game. I was getting issues anyway so maybe I won't have a problem this time with the reinstall (and addded memory).
Anyway if I do start with a bulldozed town I'm just going to factor in the cost of the town hall (although I kind of liked the idea of starting without one)and consignment shop and subtract that from the start up capital rather than buldoze and rebuild right away.
I think I might buldoze the grocery store and have my founders rely on farming and fishing. I like the consignment shop for a historic settlement or village feel.. a Merchantile. I think I'll add grocery store as the town grows.
Yeah Vuneca there is going to be a new town, Dragon Valley or something and there are going to be eggs n baby dragons! They are sooo cute! But it looks like they catch things on fire! :shock:

Treece, hope all goes well with your new town. I had issues as well. I started out with a town called Dracul Island. It's on the exchange and then had to take all the lots out. I think it messed something up with my game as well. I ended up moving to Moonlight Falls, and now I'm wishing I had them somewhere else. Anyway, goodluck with it!

I just love his curly hair, and he's such a sweet an easygoing baby. I had thought I'd choose Alanna, but she looks almost exactly like her mom. :?

With the kids growing up the Flowers next built a School/Stadium Combo.
Money is good so they were able to add a Bistro, Park and City Hall.
I forget what I make from each Venue but will look into it and I need to subtract the park, lot cost from the family funds. Since I use multi rabbit holes I have City Hall, Police Station and Military, Bistro and Market, Stadium and School now.
Do we need to remove the coast of placing the rabbit hole from the funds then be a partner an then buy it out?
Seriously, I think I'm starting to worry my boyfriend my sims always have as many children as I can have them pop out. For fun I made us both to build us an apartment (mostly to show him what kind of thing I wanted - we're moving in less than two weeks and I get to decorate) and once that was done I think we had 7 children...I just love toddlers so much! Especially in game where I can mute them. I am very excited that in two years I'll be done my degree and can think a little more seriously about children. Right now the only children I have are my sims.

They have been working hard; fishing, tending the garden, chickens & beehive. Hopefully they've stocked their larder with enough fresh caught fish, eggs and produce to survive the winter. Wish them luck as they plan to take advantage of the dormant season to start their family.
Hopefully the game won't crash as they build on to their cabin to accomodate a larger family. First step? a bedroom and double bed so they don't have to sleep on the floor and their baby won't be concieved in a haystack.

I keep it my sims' lifespan at 90 but I tweek some of the age ranges to benefit my gameplay. I hate babies so I don't keep them around very long but added days to YA to make up for it.

I have been reading all of the updates and stories and I must say I find the challenge to be fun and interesting. JBAG lead me to this thread and now I am hooked.

I decided to only spend $150,000 (only, she says) on their house, but Ive only got about $20,000 left of that $150,000 and I still need to wallpaper the second floor and at the very least furnish one of the bedrooms and upstairs bathrooms so they can tend to their needs :P

To start with, Im going to place the Grocery Store and City Hall. Im adding it the Randomacy Legacy Challenge and the A-Z Challenge as well, and I rolled Farming for Adam and Painting for Eve. By adding the City Hall, theyll be able to register as self-employed. Next will be the Consignment Store and then the School.
