I have the Sims 3 Pets as well and my game laggs a lot too. I have heard this from a lot of people. Ever since I installed it a while ago it laggs and freezes. That may be the problem.

Hey thanks :) do you have all your settings on low too?
Which game do you play without lagging?

I had lagging with Pets too. You could try the population control under options and un-check the animals (you don't need Supernatural for this option to be there...it came with the update that came out just before Supernatural). This will stop the spawning of strays and wild animals. It helped for me, so it might help (if not completely, at least a little) for you.

What are the laptop specs? Does it have an integrated graphics card? Sims 3 is known not to work well with those.

Post your DxDiag report. You didn't do that in the other thread you only posted the model of your laptop.

I highly doubt this would be a solution, but its good to have anyways. There is a mod called overwatch that helps reduce lag.
you can read about it and download it here:

if you dont know how to install it, click here:

Sorry but your processor isn't adequate. I didn't even know they still made processors below 2.0ghz.

Also, there's a cheat you can use to reset all the sims in town. Sometimes when a random sim gets stuck en route, it can cause lag. The cheat is "resetsim *" without quotations.

Also as the other person says the overwatch mod is good.

But all in all you need a better processor, I don't know about your graphics card as I'm an nvidia person.
