@DuncanDuffy Really? I thought Sims 1 was unplayable without mods and CC. I still remember how excited I was over my first CC. It was a lavender lace gown and Alejandra looked absolutely gorgeous for the first time in her life. I agree that Sims 2 didn't need mods, I did have a lot of CC though.

Yes, especialmente con kits de construcción veo muebles que ya existen. Sometimes they even seem like just recolors of existing items

Does anyone know how to fulfill the "Start a new relationship" want that Noncommittal sims get?

So far, first kiss doesn't do it, successful first date doesn't do it, becoming boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't do it.

Sadly, the Anthony the entrepreneur who's business Frankie Bheeda invested 1000 Simoleans in came back to him with this message:

"Hey no dice. That thing you helped me invest in didn't quite work out. But hey, better luck next time! Thanks for your support Champ."

That would explain why Anthony was punching the lights out of the teddy bear in Frankie's daughter Stephanie's room the day before he was round the Bheeda's!

How would one go about starting a fire in an establishment such as this café maybe with or without it's customers inside it?



I've tried letting fireworks off inside but they don't go off properly and the sim in question just gets singed. Are there any workarounds on starting a fire on a community lot/owned business?

@Brd709 Add a stove and the Cursed lot trait? Does that work in cafés?
Your flooring looks like it might have pretty good fire resistance so maybe change it to something with low fire resistance

I remember @DaniRose2143 having difficulty with this and IIRC she ended up creating a million Morgyn Embers to cast Inferniate she can fill you in on that

@mightysprite I think the flooring came with the custom walls. When i started the same fire in the same building in my 1988 save, i'm pretty sure used the debug menu options on MCCC and shift clicked on "DEBUG: Start Fire"



But when i tried that on the current version of MCCC no fire starts when shift clicking the floor and clicking on DEBUG: Start Fire

EDIT: I had my question answered on the MCCC discord. Apparently it's an EA thing with fires not starting on owned businesses.

In order to bypass the Strangerville scenario, it was suggested I have my Sim(s) search the Archives, which I did. I had her do it twice in one sitting. I'm baffled because I saw an infected Sim not long afterward. I'm seriously considering moving my save back to Oasis Spring, rather than have the atmosphere of the red sky of Strangerville. This will be a third restart and I'm growing a tad frustrated. I just want what I want, but I guess I'm probably going to have to be content with the limitations.

Is there another way? I have played the scenario a few times in the past. I only want them in Strangerville for the atmosphere.

I just installed the mod mentioned that will instasolve the scenario. Going to restart in a brand new save again to see if I get what I want this time. Thank you, one and all for the help.

@GalacticGal the only thing I know of is the mod by Twisted Mexi but with it until you turn scenarios on all save files old and new will have it turned off or on depending which setting you have
Unless the mod has changed since last time used it last summer 2023

That's okay I am going to try the unstrangerstrangerville mod. I'll let you know how it works out.

Yesterday during gameplay, the parents each had to go somewhere, leaving their Toddler and Infant behind. I had the option to hire a nanny or send to Daycare. (Personally, I'm not a fan of Daycare in RL.) My family isn't exactly well-off, so the two were sent to Daycare. I was totally disgusted when the wee ones returned home. The infant was hungry, tired, bored and in need of a bath! How is this the best care anywhere? The popup does suggest the parents need not worry; their wee ones will receive great care. Either change the wording, please, or at least attempt to fulfill the inferred promise.

How often are new townie sims generated by the game and are sims culled when new townies are generated?

My sims won't use their pool unless I tell them to swim. I don't know if it's that the pool is next to the deck or the shade of the house in evenings, etc. They'll have wants about swimming (in the winter?!) but they won't do it on their own.

I think the was the main factor as to why I didn't put in a pool when Erik & family moved to Chestnut Ridge. Nobody was using the pool they had at the Flanagan.
