    I got a NRAAS tag over that bed as well even tho my mods are not in the game - I changed it out but I didn't save it. Will change it again when I go back to work on more lots!

    I am glad that you think the lag is just a stuck sim - there might be one up in those rocks by the ruins, like @Sparky found LOL! I will go over there afterwhile and put up some fencing or route paint and see if that makes a difference. New build soon!

    Wow, beautiful pictures! Thank you! I'm so glad the pool works, I checked it out briefly but didn't notice that they actually "jump" in, at least your sim looks like they are!

    Please take care of yourself! Oh, I hate back troubles, which I get from time to time. It's not fun! I took a bit of a break from this too! We've had those afternoon thunderstorms which caused power outages so couldn't do much. Boy, so glad we have electricity - can't image the old days when you read the Bible by candlelight for fun! :|

    You are welcome re the pics it's such a beautiful world providing pictures going along is easy :)

    Yes sims climb to the top of the stairs at the pool and jump in the water then swim down to the bottom it's fab to watch :)

    I see from the above residential lot pic I was there as well checking around and I have NRASS mods but i don't know what a NRASS tag means over the bed? That little lot is lovely I hope it does not have to go..

    The sims that were in the rocks were not stuck up at the ruins they were just my sims running in and out of them when they were there lol but you gave me a clue where to look next time if I get an unroutable stuck sim as I never thought of that-)

    I really don't ever want to envisage trying to read a book by candlelight or not having clean water and dentists/hospitals haha I hope your afternoon thunderstorm and power outage has passed as it's just so inconvenient for you :)

    I will PM you about the other thing as I don't like fully explaining on a public forum :)

    @SPARKY1922 Please take good care of yourself! I understand the wish to just play in this world, I feel the same, but by all means, take a break (so that you can come back sooner ;)) Wonderful pictures, thank you!

    @KatyFernlily I forgot to reply to the basecamp thing, it's rather easy actually. You have to place the lot in EIG, then set the lot type in CAW to basecamp. This will make the board spawn. Next time in EIG you can (optionally) adjust the location of the board if you want it in a different spot, it will stick if it's done in EIG. There won't be any tasks from the mailbox, it's just a mailbox.

    Thanks I am trying to take care but boredom is a killer so I have done a little bit then shut the game down for a little while which forces me away-) I will try do a little at a time rather than marathon sessions lol :)

    First up a visit to the festival lot almost opposite the main street mall and my sims were able to partake in all the festival activities no problem..

    Boho eco friendly house which is designated a lounge. This is a wonderful lot, really nicely decorated and I love the stairs down to the little fountain area. sims were able to use the stairs on this part of the lot without issues. My sims used any available objects on the lot without a problem than went to watch the pianist on the top floor. The only issue I had with the lot was the stair landing as shown in the pic below as some sims just stood there without moving blocking other sims moving up and down the stairs.

    for some reason i could not get this picture to upload so it's the stairs to the top floor landing where the pianist plays..

    Stunning World @KatyFernlily :) I was invited by @SPARKY1922 to have a peek at this amazing Sims 3 World. I am playing 4 but used to play 3 (did play since 1) and if my computer would have 3 and 4 on it I would love to see this world up close but as my comp wont have much more than Sims 4 on it I can enjoy looking at all the screenshots. What a big job doing all the testing and then fixing and problem areas or things missed, but its so beautiful and the buildings are so well done and match the areas. I have taken a few pictures via print screen as I fancy doing a few of them in 4 or just be inspired by some larger community builds, I hope you dont mind? as I have built so much over the years I get inspired by others work, I often google images to start me off with the outside of a build or I go to build and I just sit staring at the screen Lol.

    I will pop back now and then to admire this World and read how its going along ;) Thanks SPARKY1922 for the invite :)

    Thank you - I don't mind at all. In fact some of the lots I've made are inspired from sims 4 creations. Also some of the lots are from other sims 3 players that I've remodeled. I also love to try and create real life places. I've learned a lot while doing this project and even more from the testing phase. Thanks for taking a look!

    Good Morning!

    I have a new build with fixes ready! I hope I caught all the errors, lot tears, plants, etc. I reworked the beaches, which was a huge pain, but I wanted them to look nice. So that was part of the delay. Once you start fooling with the terrain, it can throw off the other lots so I went back and forth, and back and forth. I thought I'd never get it right. It's not perfect but it's as good as it's going to get for now. I am done with beaches! Hopefully the tiny tears are not that noticeable.

    So, for those of you who have been testing and want to continue to do so, let me know and I will send you the link to the new build. @flstrider, if you'd like to have a look around and work on those roofs as you mentioned, just let me know.

    Here is a map of the next testing area. It now includes the farming and equestrian area, as well as the little islands and cemetery up on the hill. So from the "main" town center (where we started) across to the warehouses. (Does not include the firestation.) I'd like to concentrate on these areas only as the rest of the map is not ready. Keep in mind that some lots are works in progress and may not be fully furnished or decorated, but please make any comments that you feel are important. I understand completely if you do not want to continue on with the testing, so just let me know.

    I'd like to thank you all once again for your help! I appreciate it so much! I love to see the screenshots of your sims actually functioning in and around the town/lots as I kind of had my doubts whether this would come to be a "world" in the Sims3. So thank you! And I hope to hear from you soon!

    Good morning @KatyFernlily . Yay, new map areas to check. As per last time, I will stick to checking the build portion of the lots (rather than sim playing). Looks like this would be primarily Maps 2, 4, 7 and 8 (leaving out the fire station)? And yes I would like the new world file please.

    I started by going over the first test maps again as you wrote that you had done some further tweaking and I noticed you had changed the diner seating plus a few little things to sparky's island adventure park including adding several tents. I found no issues sending my sims anywhere on land or water to community lots/beaches/separate island from the main Town area island.

    I just love Paradise beach :)

    Next from sparky's island to honey meadows ranch equestrian area 85-95 Diamond Loop. My sims boated from sparky's island to get there arriving on the undesignated beach area successfully without issues then running up from the beach to the main road where they got into their car to drive to the equestrian area itself. No issues were found at any of the lost in this area between 85-95 Diamond Loop but i did want to ask what sort of lot Blue Stone Equestrian Centre at 85 does as I could send my sims inside but not look inside the lot? All toilets and objects were working on the lot.

    EDIT: While my sims were sleeping I went into map view and saw the light for a unicorn visiting the Birdsong lot (Pond) at 91 Diamond loop and when i went to look there was a lone unicorn and another horse with a baby foal but as I watched the unicorn it was constantly shaking its head and moving up and down just outside of the lot. I figured out from it moving around this area there was not enough room for the unicorn to go into the lot where the water was to get a drink because the other horse and foal were in the way. Eventually the horse and foal moved off the lot and the unicorn went to the back left of the lot and entered. The unicorn then drank but from the stone infront of the pond ignoring the open water available on the right side for some reason?

    Arrival at lot: The unicorn was walking around this lot until the horse and foal left the lot.

    After the horse and foal had left the unicorn entered the lot from the rear left and appeared to drink from a stone ignoring the water to the right. I think it could be a good idea to remove the fencing around this lot to see if it makes routing better for more horses to be on the lot at the same time using the pond? I can test this by removing the fence for you just to see if it makes this better? however I have no idea why the horse is drinking through the stone lol apologies the pic is a little dark as its the middle of the night.

    EDIT again lol I watched more and the unicorn is not drinking from the stone but a tiny pool of water at the rear of the stone that is hard to see.. but it still looks like the horse is drinking from the stone from a distance which looks weird and when the unicorn finished drinking that area reverted to looking like the ground and plants again so i don't think it is meant as a drinking spot for horses now.

    I continued to watch the horse for another sim hour and was getting this all the time.

    I then realized the unicorn was stuck so I removed a shrub and some fencing and the unicorn left the lot successfully.

    Next Ruby casino at 243 coral pass. No routing issues getting to the lot. All toilets, stairs and objects were working properly and the relevant NPC were present at the lot.


    Next Thirsty Fish brewing centre at 73 turquoise junction. There were no routing issues getting there and all stairs, toilets and objects on the lot were tested and working. As you can see my sims enjoyed a little time there fishing and harvesting :)

    Next up silver creek mining centre at 72 turquoise junction. No routing issues getting there and toilets and all other objects on the lot were working.

    next lilypad Garden at 242 peridot pass. No routing issues getting to the lot and toilet facilities were working correctly. My sims could not harvest plants in the fenced off garden as there were too many plants close together including directly behind the gate so sims could not open the gate to the garden either.


    Next Happy trails 74 Turquoise Junction. No routing issues getting to the lot. The proprietor was on the lot and my sims could ask to join the performance career correctly after a friendly greeting. The toilet facilities were working correctly and the Bar NPC was working on the lot. All the other objects on the lot were used by my sims without any issues. I suffered from a tiny bit of lag once while playing on this lot but am not sure why as I could not find a reason for it. I sent my sims back to their home lot from here without any routing issues. 132 Moonstone Hway.

    Next up pink flamingo for an early breakfast at 85 turquoise junction..my sims travelled to the lot from their home lot at 132 Moonstone hwy without any routing issues and what a beautiful morning view it was from this lot as shown from the picture :) There are no bathroom facilities on this lot and I wondered if that was deliberate?

    Next Ruby Falls cove at the address of Ruby falls cove-) no routing issues getting from the pink flamingo to this lot by my sims and i noticed you had added a couple of tents as I don't think they were there before? My sims did a little fishing, lit the fire pit, used the grill and played together at the domino table.

    Next up Old Salty's retreat at 88 Turquoise Junction and they arrived at the lot without any routing issues. I checked out all the indoor/outdoor stairs on the lot but my sim would not use the second floor stairs on the outside of the building for some reason. (shown in pic) however when i teleported her to the 3rd floor stairs leading to the roof the sim used those stairs fine. when my sims left the roof area they came down the first set of outdoor stairs then went through the door into the inside of the building and went all the way down to the bottom floor of the building using the indoor stairs and then out the front door.

    My sims clearly enjoyed using the rooftop firepit and I am sure my teen sims are going to love this particular location :)

    next up Copper Cave at 90 turquoise Junction obviously as it's right next door to Old salty's retreat there were no routing issues for my sims getting there-) All indoor/outdoor stairs were correctly used on the lot.


    Next copper harbour rescue at 96 turquoise junction (fire station) no routing issue with sims getting to lot. The stairs, bathroom facilities, and all objects on the lot were used by my sims without issues.

    Next stop Obsidian hill at 272 peridot pass and there were no routing issues getting from the firestation to this lot. My sims walked around inside and out of this lot sitting on various seats without issue.

    Next was the cemetery opposite lost craven crypt at 728 peridot pass, my sims explored the catacombs, fished, used the stairs on the lot without issues and sat on most of the available chairs. I cannot wait to put the door of life and death on this lot :)

    I then noticed that the unicorn was back at the Birdsong lot (Pond) at 91 Diamond loop and took another look and found that 3 horses turned up and all are shaking their heads as if something s wrong but then I noticed that they all want to get to that stone and try drink water from the tiny pool at the back of it. while I was watching no horses even tried to drink from any other area of the pond.

    I took this pic when the unicorn and the other horse were trying to bond which i thought looked wonderful :) I think that this is going to be the go to spot for horses/unicorns so it might be better to fix this little pond area to make it easier for horses to use drink and gather together even if there are several of them on the lot at one time as it will help stop any future lag if several horses are all trying to get to one spot all at once..

    I watched the unicorn for a while and it tended to run around the whole area of the equestrian centre at Diamond Loop also using the walkway at the rear of the lots and down to the un designated beach where the unicorn keeps trying to drink water through the sand? so I placed a hitching post with water and hay at Birdsong pond to see if that helps at all. Also the unicorn loves running up this rock and standing at the top and i am not sure horses are supposed to do that? maybe someone with better knowledge of horse routing and issues could take a look and cast a more knowledgeable eye over this than me?

    I sent my sims back to the good luck bar and arcade at 192 sunstone walk just in case you had done any further tweaks on the lot but everything was fine..Then it was time for my exhausted sims to go to bed :)

    EDIT: during the night I saw the unicorn going in and out of lots looking for water so I am going to place a few more hitching posts in the world but aside from that i would love a pond area like or at birdsong where horses can congregate together and drink from the pond as well.

    Another sim day and my sims are up bright and early to visit Diablerie Lighthouse at 609 granite bluff trail travelling from my sims home lot at 132 Moonstone hwy however my sims went a weird route driving just a short distance from their home lot they exited their vehicle and got into a boat in an area I would not of expected as it's the opposite side of the island to the lighthouse? see pic below..

    the sims house it to the right in the picture a turquoise aqua colour and the area where my sims exited their vehicle to get into a boat is to the left.

    My sims continued around the island heading towards paradise beach however my sims split up from one boat at the spot shown in the picture below as if the first boat had hit a glitch of some sort that split them up.

    Then after all that my sim exited his boat on paradise beach by that problematic rock area i spoke of before..

    and then walked straight through the rock area rather than walk to the beach when the sim exited the boat..you cannot see my sim because he is in the rock area..

    I then directed mt second sim in the boat to go to paradise beach and she got out of the boat at the same spot but walked to the right of the rock instead of going through it. There is defo some issues with boat routing at this part of the beach as I noticed it before when testing as well.

    By this time my instruction to my sims to visit the lighthouse had dropped from the que so i will try again.. after giving the instruction to go to the lighthouse from that last location close to paradise beach i expected my sims to jump into a boat at paradise beach and go directly to the lighthouse but nope they both ran and drove separately to the following spot and got back in a boat..

    They continued in the boat all the way around and past Paradise beach where i experienced a little lag as the boat passed the rocks that are just behind the boat in the following pic..

    The boat then finally got to the beach at the lighthouse lot thank god! I am not sure if anything can be done regards routing like this as it's really frustrating when trying to send sims somewhere and they deviate constantly..

    they exited the boat correctly and ran up the path to the lighthouse. my sim was able to use the outside stairs up/down to the first floor of the lot but could not use the spiral stairs to go up a further floor for some reason..

    I then sent my sims to Moonstone Shore Beach at 242 Moonstone Hwy hoping that because this beach was in line of site of the lighthouse my sims would boat straight to it plus I am not sure if you tweaked this lot last time so just making a second check of the area.. woo they went from beach to beach perfectly lol

    I checked all the stairs on the docks/lots on this beach and they were fine. I sent my sims windsurfing and i don't know if you tweaked the area on the left where the 2 little boats are tied up but this time my sims did not windsurf through them she went infront of them instead which looked alot better :)

    I have been getting more lag since it became a full moon.. prior to that it was 2-3 second freezes occasionally and so far after several hours of playing there has not been one unroutable sim yet.

    I have tested all the earlier lots on the previous maps again just to be sure and the new lots from the new maps..

    I just had to buy my sims a houseboat as I have been dying to try sailing around the island ready to test or not-)

    It's docked at sunset pier 238 moonstone trail and this is where my sims will be setting out from..visited crash site dive lot first but there was no option to dive or message stating it was too dangerous for sims current skill level..

    next diamond bay dive lot where I did receive a message that my sims were not skilled enough to dive here..

    The water was quite shallow here on this area of the map but the houseboat kept going, this is the structure going into the sea close to the ruins and cafe on a little designated lot and my houseboat went straight through it without stopping.. which I would prefer than the houseboat come to a stop..you can see the structure better in the pic above..

    next crystal waters dive lot and to get there I think this is the smallest area for a houseboat as it skimmed close by to the shore a few times and i held my breath a couple times but the houseboat kept going much to my delight.. :)

    Then finally docked back at the sunset pier 238 moonstone trail so WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO houseboats can travel all the way around the world just unbelievable and so well done @KatyFernlily <3<3<3

    Hello!

    Sorry for the delay in answering - I needed a bit of a break from CaW/Sims. Hope you all had a great weekend and thank you for the feedback!

    I worked on the routing for the area down from the beach. Not sure if what I did will help with sims running through the terrain. It's weird and I have not been able to reproduce what you experienced, Sparky. No matter how much routing paint you place over the water - the boats will still drive through it. So I put more routing paint behind the lots on the other side of that little hill instead. I also smoothed out the water, getting rid of the "rocks" altogether. I also got rid of the little strip of ocean that your sim took to get to the lighthouse island. I was able to reproduce that and afterwards, my sim went to the other side of the road, hopped in a boat and headed off, no problem. I knew that was going to be a thing as there is so much water and places to get into the water. I suppose if it becomes a problem for players they will have to use the mod that limits boat taxis? I mean, I use it in my game because I hate the nonsense that is the traffic. It's mainly for show and just bogs up your game.

    I went and watched the fishing pond with the horses and sure enough I had a black unicorn show up along with one other horse. I normally don't have wild horses running around my game because it's just not realistic, but after reading up on it, I learned that horses like to hang out at fishing spots. And this fishing spot happens to be pretty small. I didn't want to change this lot too much because I really like it but I did move the rocks and plants over and got rid of a little bit of the water. I added a horsey food/water thing as well, and opened up the fence on the one side. This is another thing that players can control by limiting stray animals. The "rock" that your horse is going up is meant for sims to find a little something hidden on top of the "rock". I am not changing that! Maybe that horse knows something?

    The lighthouse should now work. I couldn't get the roof to cooperate so I rebuilt it. It's not as cute as the original one but at least it should work. I have not tested it but pretty sure it should be good now.

    The Pink Flamingo now has a restroom. The stairs on the movie studio warehouse work now - there were some lights off their mark, I guess blocking the path.

    I have not looked at Sandraelles feedback thoroughly as yet but will work on those fixes. I'm trying not to get overwhelmed by all the errors but really want the issues Sparky had to be worked out as soon as possible.

    I spent so much time enjoying/testing yesterday I caused myself some pain but could not help it so today has been rest the back day lol and I totally understand that you need a break from caw/sims too-) take all the time you need :)

    Thanks for taking the time to look at some issues and to be honest as I said before all water worlds have issues with routing but really I am more concerned about NPC water to land routes as players have little control over that and so far that seems to be fine which is a massive plus however playable sims appear to be doing the lets make the most fuss when being directed anywhere by the player lol but that said when the player knows their sims might take a problematic route somewhere the player can direct them in a different way so there are no routing issues involved and I personally don't find that so much of an issue as I have to do that even when playing in IP so I don't really expect you to be able to resolve those sorts of issues honestly.. I just point them out so you are aware of them just in case you can do something about it :) Of course in the realm of dreams haha

    I love the unicorn/horses to have one pond meet drink location as strangely enough in IP it's the fishing spot on the island for me anyway -) I don't mind the preferred game horse/unicorn meet and greet at birdsong fishing spot as long as the horses can move about freely without causing lag and be able to drink because horses need this sort of spot in any world :) and i certainly do not mind the unicorn or any other horse going to the top of that rock but I thought it might not be what horses are supposed to do in game but as it did not cause lag in my game I was not too worried-)

    The houseboat went all around your world I mention it again because I swear I truly wanted that in the world as you know and my sims be able to dive as that was the icing on the cake-) still waiting for my sims to be able to dive at the dive spots but the houseboat travelled successfully around the world when I never imagined it could so this means the world to me :)<3

    If you cannot recreate some of the glitches I experiences that's fine I will just change the direction/s of my sims/boats etc in those areas :)
