I don't think we should give up features in advance when the Sims 4 EPs are already very light on features. Sims 3 World Adventures came with a ton of stuff (photography, nectar-making and martial arts skills plus 3 new worlds and a ton of other stuff). The Sims 4 team can just do better with EPs.

I agree, however EA always push developers to finish packs on deadlines and always complain about "not enough budget" sadly i think good old days of sims 3 packs quality is gone..

but if not including new world contributed more to gameplay then it's better in the long run..

If you have all the EPs there's plenty of worlds to pick from, but are there really any good gameplay?

I have all EPs and I like the game, but as the consumer I don't want to encourage them to lower the bar anymore than they already do, because I think we will end up with no world and lackluster gameplay. I also have a lot of mods and given what EA did with Lifestyles and NAPs, I don't trust them to implement an attraction system that's better than the one mods provide already. But Seasons did come with a lot of features I like and no world but I don't see them pulling that off with a romance pack.

I think a romance pack would be a game pack anyway, so a world wouldn't be expected.

I don't care much about romance to be honest, so I'd take a new world over a few more romantic options any day. Then again, I have been pleasantly surprised by packs before, when ideas I wasn't originally interested in suddenly became interesting because of how they were implemented, so I'm not against it either. It really depends on what's in the pack and how good it is overall.

The reason for also wanting a world, its could be Paris themed and I also think what more could they do with romance, we already have woohoo and alot romantic interactions, the only things we dont have is slow dancing, giving romantic gifts like heart box chocolates and a bouquet of flowers, a attraction system could be added, if they had a world they could add premade community lots like wedding venues, a proper cinema, mrs crumplebottom as a negative to it 😂, they could also bring back the classic heart bed and hot tub

I don’t care for a new world if that means my sim can bring his Romantic butt everywhere he likes.
Like in real life, gameplay is everything when it comes to romance. No matter where you are. 😇

It really depends on what else is in the pack. A pack focused solely on improving Romantic Gameplay - be it Game Pack or Expansion Pack - isn't my cup of tea, so it will need something more for me to purchase it outside of a bundle or on sale.

One option would be some other type of gameplay - heists, for example, or some sort of new Lot type (hotels, Multi-functional lots, casinos), or perhaps horses or cars (even if they're just a lot item and can't be driven) Even a suite of new personality traits and an extra trait slot (or two) might be worth it.

The other option would be a cool new world based on somewhere that doesn't feel like anywhere we have so far ... a Mediterranean village, for example.

If the pack is just Romantic Stuff Pack Take 2 with expanded romance systems (chemistry, attraction, slow dancing, etc.) added on then it will go on the back burner until I need the pack to fill out a bundle, no matter how in-depth those romance systems are. I'm not saying I don't want those things, but they're not important enough to my gameplay that I'm willing to shell out $20+ just to get them.

If they mess up the attraction system in the romance pack like in NAPs I'll be hella angry lol..

EA better do it like in mods (and the popular +18 mod attraction system) where we can choose eye color and even hair types, body shapes and age for attraction system, if mod creators can do it then so does EA..

For my kind of playstyle i have enough with the worlds i own. Newcrest in my saves is almost always empty... so i'ld trade the world for more and deeper gameplay.

I'm totally fine with no new world. I'd be overjoyed if a new pack focused on my creations instead of adding new ones.

I really want more gameplay that fleshes out my Sims on the homelot (or in any world) instead of a new world where you can do one or two new events. I find myself rarely visiting other places as it is.

Don't see the point in missing out on a new world, when extra gameplay should be added to an expansion pack in the first place

I won't buy it but in honor of a very important and helpful member of this community I say do it but do it as CLP suggested. CLP asked and asked for a Romance pack with some excellent ideas.

Doesnt matter whether the pack includes world or not since the latest few worlds starting from del sol valley is small and contain too many fake houses. but i take gameplay over world any day

If it's a game pack I don't see a reason not to have great gameplay AND a new world. Vampires has both, also RoM is good with both features.
If it's an expansion pack there is no excuse for not having a new world. Expansion packs are expensive, new world should be included in every expansion pack. I'm looking at you, Seasons.
If it's a stuff pack, then it doesn't need a new world.

Edit. I maybe should've chosen the second option. A new world is important, but so is gameplay and we shouldn't have to choose between them when both can be included.

There are so few lots total that I'd feel cheated without a new world. I'd want to use the pack in my current save, not just new ones and most of my properties are already filled with sims I love and wouldn't want to get rid of for the sake of a new pack.
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.

Already had a romance pack and it was poor in quality. If there were another, it really better be a step up in quality and EA aren't known for top quality with their DLC's on TS4, their recent expacs showed how little effort goes into it when it contains very little lots and households and no real attention to detail. It's like they gave up trying to be new and innovative in their design.

If the likes of Paralives was around right now and they have some really good stuff, this would get EA to actually put the effort into TS4, that's the difference between what they are doing now and what would happen if there was competition. So far all we got is the way EA wants to do it, but that doesn't mean it is going to knock the socks off your feet and frankly i don't expect such things to happen any point this century.

Frankly, if EA aren't going to really put some effort into their packs, they should stick to DLC's with game worlds in them, no matter how limiting they are, at the very least it will be used which is at minimum better than nothing, more than i can say for certain packs that will never get used.

This. Even if they did focus on features the next pack or patch would break most of them. The only part of the game that doesn't break is the phone harassment. If the devs would, 'ring' "I hear you became friends with ..." fix the bu 'ring' "I hear the best t-shirts..." Aaah!

I dunno, depends what they are planning for the pack, if it's an EP, then it should have a new world. If it's a GP, then I'm not sure I would care about a romantic themed world if it only has 4 lots.

I feel like a romance pack has to come with a romantic looking world where our sims can go and...be romantic? With lots of nice restaurants, parks, nice views, etc.

For me a Romance pack would need a world. I think they can flesh out that theme in an EP while still adding a world. For a family/legacy theme however, I would be ok with getting no world in return for extensive gameplay.

They could add lot traits and some nice looking lots. I can see them adding a new world if they implement the pack as a sort of romantic getaway adventure like a vacation world, otherwise it's just romance, it can and does take place anywhere. They could add some new venue type but I don't think they would add restaurants as those have their own pack. There are plenty of nice looking lots in other worlds we have. I would like a stand that sells flowers and one that sells chocolate and teddy bears, photo booths, picnics, matchmaker, new romantic interactions, attraction system, etc.

No I don't want them to be thinking about world when they should be thinking about improving our sims, romance interactions, couple activities, relationships and adding tons of new animations in every world

and also if they add world id like it to be something we dont have in game in any form so like for example say they did venice or something now would i like the condola rides for my sims yes it be cute but how much of less romantic venice would never be touched upon in the pack cause they didnt think of that

how much cool architectural additions would be missed to add wedding stuff which yes i would absolutely also need

just like when in snowy they thought about snow activities and forgot people need indoor activities as well and japanese culture has some fun things for that too but none of that got added

This is a pack I'm waiting for. Romance is very much needing an update. I'd almost rather take an expansion but game packs are well done. A quality game pack would be welcomed by me. I'd also like a world themed around the Mediterranean, Italy, France, etc. If these are combined, I'd be fine with that if it is well-done.

Snowy Escape was in the right direction. I just think that yes, we need a lot of new animations, upgrades to weddings with more customization, more developed chemistry / personality themed around romance, a world themed around romance to live or vacation in and romantic gameplay.

They intersperse romantic updates in the different packs. I think they should keep doing that but there should be a pack that dramatically improves that theme.
