Gordon University - A Sims 4 Story

CHAPTER ONE

" Herringbone Uni... Harvest Uni.. " Daphne scrolled through the list, her eyes blurring. She had been looking through potential universities for a few hours now, but had found none to her liking.

Daphne lay back on her chair, looking at the screen tiredly,
" Have you found one yet, Daphne? " Daphne's mother came in, smiling pleasantly at Daphne,
" Sadly, no. " Daphne sighed.
" Don't worry dearest; you'll find one soon! " Daphne's mother left the room, leaving Daphne alone, with her chair still facing the wall.

Daphne went back to scrolling through universities, before she came across one that seemed exactly like what she wanted:
GORDON UNIVERSITY
She clicked apply on it's homepage, beginning to type in her details, smiling to herself,
" This is perfect... " She whispered, clasping her hands together as she watched the application easily meld into the system.
She laughed to herself, spinning on her chair, before settling back down to her screen, not able to wipe the smile off her face.

Soon after, Daphne was sitting outside on her porch, talking with her best friend, Cassandra, about how her university hunting was going,
" So, I've applied for this Gordon University and- "
" Wait- You're going too? " Daphne stared in shock, as Cassandra smiled widely,
" This is perfect! We could go together! "
" Emphasis on could. " Daphne interjected, still smiling at her hopeful best friend,
" Don't be such a downer. " Cassandra grinned at Daphne, laughing.

Once Cassandra had finished gushing about how amazing it would be to go to uni together, Dapne had decided to sit down and take a look at her application; she didn't expect much, because she had only put it through a few hours ago - but she was shocked to find her application had been accepted!
She flopped onto her bed, relief and happiness coursing through her - before quickly being crushed by the thought Cassandra might not have gotten in. She shook it aside, instead continuing to revel in her own success. She felt so happy, but also slightly confused, because she didnt think it would've been accepted THAT quickly.

Involuntarily, she found herself reaching for her phone, beginning to dial Cassandra's number, before stopping herself at the last digit. It would be stupid, of course, to ask; Cassandra would probably come barelling into her text messages with hurriedly-typed messages if she did get in.
She instead settled herself with scrolling through her group dm with her event-planning squad, who had organised a party for this evening to celebrate the coming of a new semester - and also doubling as a goodbye party for those going to study at universities abroad.
Daphne made her way to her wardrobe, deciding she was going to pick out what she wanted to wear to the party. She played with a few options, before staring mindlessly at the wardrobe, still thinking of how strange this university seemed.

She finally found a good dress and, after much deliberation, decided to put it on and tie her hair up. It was approaching the time, after all, when she would have to bike to the venue and get all of the decorations set up.
She stared into the mirror, feeling tears come to her eyes. She really wanted Cassandra to come to Gordons with her, but she didn't know if it would be possible - or if Cassandra would even want to come.
She ducked her head down towards the sink, letting the tears fall and swirl down the drain, leaving her more alone than she'd ever felt. Gordons had done something to her - but she didn't know what.
