I really wish I know what question Hela's uncle asked her, because for a moment it really looked like she was going to slap him. Said uncle is a strange individual who tends to show affection by stalking (when I was playing with Rose, his great-niece, he would call her every single day to ask questions about who to date or hang out). It's the first time I've ever seen a sim to get physically upset about a conversation topic. But as they hugged right after and continued their conversation, it could not have been something that bad. Maybe Hela's just very emotional.

Maybe his questions/probing got too personal. Embarrassment can lead to anger, and the need to slap somebody silly.

Perhaps he was asking dating advice? Which is admittedly a sore subject, as Hela's husband died ages ago and she has not been able to keep a man since then. One chose her sister, one her niece, one her friend...

This weekend, I chose violence and forced myself to play a household of a widowed father and six intants (their mother was baby-crazy until she went crazy in general, which led to her death) that I've been avoiding since forever. I put them through a strict training program, but an in-game week later, everyone is still alive, has stopped crying over everything, and the infants have grown into potty-trained toddlers. Today, the father was even able to lay down to sleep for the first time in a long time (he is a vampire, so he generally does not need sleep, but as he likes it, I have him every once in a while as a treat).

@AngeliqueAdelaide My you are one brave soul! Six infants? So glad they managed to grow into Toddlers and give their exhausted only parent a much-needed break. Best of luck with this household. Sounds as if you need it. ;)

They are the result of 3 separate pregnancies, but as I have aging off, they are all the same age in game. In my experience with infants, it actually goes smoother with only one caretaker, because they would not be interrupting each other. The kids have some much older sisters, who would help when visiting.
They are doing great at the moment, I will be visiting them again some time later. At the moment, I am busy having Hela's four youngest sorted out, who just aged up to preteens (mod) with some really horrific cc clothes and hair I really should delete because they don't look good on anyone. The poor girls look older than both their mother and grandmother 😭

    Okay, this made me happy.

On the left is Morgyn Ember, of course. I’m currently playing them as my main sim. But on the right is a past favorite sim of mine, Kiki Shannon, who Morgyn found playing for tips in San Myshuno. Kiki started with me in TS3, then made the transition with me to TS4. He was a rockstar, whose band was in a tragic tour bus accident. Kiki decided to travel the world to “find himself “ and wound up living in a houseboat on a small island, being a beach bum and playing at bars for tips and drinks. We had lots of adventures. Eventually, his story resolved, and I parked him and the local he married, Delaney, in Sulani. I think this is the first time the game has let him cross paths with my current sims.

@Cyncie, loved your backstory for Kiki. Isn't it fun when you put other Sims of yours ingame and they suddenly show up?

@GalacticGal it was such a great surprise! There he was, doing his thing, playing guitar for tips. Totally in character.

Kiki was a fun sim. He was a goofball, loved music and people, but had some tragedy in his life. He found his perfect life away from the spotlight on a small tropical island. He met Delaney when she was trying to raise money to save the historic lighthouse. They fell in love and got married . One of my favorite Kiki/Delaney situations was after the lighthouse was restored, they lived in it for a while. It was on its own little island, so they decided to take a skinny dip in the pond…right about the time the welcome wagon decided to show up. That made for an interesting first impression.

I started building a high school, despite having neither the pack (and any desire to purchase it, because I dislike the gameplay) or being able to get Zerbu's mod to work for me. Simply because I wanted one for aesthetic reasons.

Same for me with apartments. I don’t want the gameplay, or bugs, of the pack, so I have fake ones. Stick 8 sims in there and lock doors appropriately. Voila! Apartment!

Do you mean City Living or the last expansion?
I love locking doors! It has tons of uses, from keeping sims away from objects for skills I don't want them to have, to stopping toddlers from waking up their older siblings

@AngeliqueAdelaide For Rent. I like City Living, even though I mostly use the festivals. I have fake apartments in many of my other worlds.

Not too much to report, but I did get Horse Ranch a couple days ago on sale.
I downloaded an Elsa Sim, who had the Nokk horse with her. I moved her into the new world that came with Horse Ranch.
Elsa and the horse had a good relationship, she groomed the horse, and took care of it. However, when she tried riding it the first time, it bucked her off. She was sore for a bit, and wasn't sure if she liked horses. She tried riding again, and this time the Nokk let her. Elsa still wasn't a huge fan of riding on the horse. The fastest they rode was at a trot.
After a brief play through, I downloaded some horses/unicorns from the Gallery. I downloaded an Epona, which I will give to my Link Sim, or get a new Link Sim to live with the Epona. The current Link Sim has a bunch of dogs that came from a Wolf Link that he also still has.
I am also on a Final Fantasy 7 kick, and plan to make a horse loosely based off of Cloud's bike Fenrir, and will either give it to the Cloud Sim I already have, or download/create another one.

Bucking can be quite a problem until the horse's Temperament gets built up. You can also send the horse for traning.

Thank you, I am new to the pack. That is good to know, especially when more horses/unicorns are added in. I am looking for horses/unicorns with good temperaments to make them easier to ride.

A lot of social interactions with the animal will help to improve their Temperament. Took Erik a bit of time, before he wasn't constantly thrown from one of his horses. LOL

That is good to know. I haven't played too much with horses yet. The Elsa I downloaded with the Nokk only got thrown off once so far.
When I make horses, or start moving them into families, this will be good to know. I will try to improve their temperaments, before my Sims start riding.

Cool, using Elsa with Horse Ranch. If it goes on a deep enough sale, I might pick it up to make a unicorn rescue. I think Harry Bigfoot would be a great unicorn rescuer.

Today, I realized that The Myst does not have a Doctor, so I made a little Doctor’s office/apothecary shoppe/residence. “Calling Doctor Bombay! Calling Doctor Bombay! Emergency! Come right away!”

    Yes. I did.

@GalacticGal Thanks! I loved watching Bewitched, too. I figured, since I already have Samantha, Darren and Tabitha running around in The Myst, and we needed a doctor, Doctor Bombay was an obvious choice. I also have the Addams Family, and if I can find the right location, I’ll add Jeannie. That will round out my childhood favorite supernatural shows. I think Del Sol Valley is the right location for Major Nelson, but it’s not in The Myst. But, Jeannie living in his world is the whole point of the show, so it might work.

I moved Adelise out of Windenburg to the most secluded lot at Henford, both because I wanted to build a new house to her, and because at her curreny place, she kept getting upset over sims walking past her house. It's really hard to find a place where no one ever goes. I am not 100% sold about Henford either, because I fear that the game mechanics might force her to participate in village activities when I am not playing her. The poor woman is 900 years old, please leave her alone!

900 years? Wow. I play on Long but have never seen a Sim register that age. MY hat's off to you for your excellent care of her!

The truth is, she hasn't been in the game for 900 years, it's mainly her backstory: she is from Dragon Valley ( Sims 3 world). Adelise is the sim I started this save, though, so it's been 50? 60? (It's complicated with immortality involved) in-game years and quite a few in real life too.
Adelise is technically a great-grandmother, but as she has never met even any of her grandchildren, she doesn't care. As far as she is concerned, her duty ended when her children became toddlers, though she has some fondness for her eldest daughter, who is now her neighbour.

@AngeliqueAdelaide, Thanks for the explanation. Love the fact you brought her forward. I played my Cantrell family in Sims2, 3 and now 4, so I get it. Those beloved characters need to continue on, like a good book. You finish reading it, but you know you can go back and revisit any time you wish. :)

Feeling gloomy about deleting some unwanted (by both me and their bio parents) toddlers. I spent half a real-life day forcing myself to get emotionally invested in them, failing, quitting without saving and then trying again. But I just can't, I don't know what's wrong with this particular set of kids (like, I just recently survived six infants. They were tiring, sure, but they did not make me angry about every single thing they did), but I just can not stand these particular kids.
I am already struggling with lack of real interest towards sims younger than teens vs my need to train them from birth which requires active involvement, so in the end, off to the bin they went. Likely a good thing for the population's future, because these kids would've grown up to be horrendiously ugly (and they were such cute toddlers! All big eyes and curly hair.) Their parents's genetics did not mix well. At. All.
