Question about ghosts

Do ghosts forget their spouses when they die? I recently discovered two couples forgot each other as if they never met! Also they aren't married on the family tree at all! Is this normal game behavior?

I have had both in my games, both were couples happily married to old age when one partner died. I one scenario the remaining spouse cries buckets ove the grave and is happy to see her ghost. In the other the remainig spouse recects the ghosts advances. I think this makes the game more interesting,

The problem is that relationship deteriorate over time and since ghosts don't live technically don't live together anymore, they tend to forget each other in time.
