The first picture looks great, in the background of the building on the right, is their magic flying into the sky, or is it fireworks?

Looks like fireworks. Is that what it is @SimGuruNinja?

    The new GIFs are gorgeous!

If you can see them, they won't play for me...

The Road goes ever on and on And I must follow, if I can,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.

    Thanks @luthienrising!
While everything else is great, I mainly want the gnome to come alive and actively serve me drinks with Realm of Magic installed.

And there's also some generic CAS stuff that we didn't get to see (a blazer, new women's top, possibly more).

Those stairs are going to be so awesome to build with. I have so many ideas for how to use them! Just think about the new windows from the Moschino pack combined with these stairs! My industrial style homes never looked right with the other staircases. I am so excited. I can't wait to play around with them. Loved the lighted fencing, too. Plus new swatches and outdoor furniture, new cultural clothing and build objects. I am very impressed with how far the teams have come in bringing more diversity into the Sims. And how well everything in the update fits with what we got in past packs and updates. I don't see myself using the new gnome table very much though. LOL But it is cute. It'll be interesting to see if Graham and Lyndsay didn't share everything with us today. I'm sure there are one or two more surprises because they didn't delve into CAS very much. So this update will be available on Thursday? Then we get the ROM live stream on Friday? I see I am going to spend a lot of time building atfer the update drops. I cannot wait to get an in-depth look at Glimmerbrook.

@Paigeisin5 Yes: Update Thursday, RoM livestream Friday. Busy week! The pack is out Tuesday, so I expect that we also have Game Changers' stuff (which I don't cover here) early Monday.

That means after the livestream, youtubers such as Deligracy and IronSeagull will post videos about the Realm of Magic.

Er LS on 6th this embargo lifts the day before game comes out which strikes me as somewhat pointless
Occultism in Sims is family-friendly and should not be watered down to cater to realism players

Agreed. It's weird that we haven't had anything substantial aside from the occasional waterfall and familiar gifs. I was hoping for at least a blog or two by now at least. They did so much marketing for Strangerville but with Realm of Magic there's nearly nothing.

My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that Game Changers (aka EA's demo team) will have access to the game on the 5th. They then can play with it, learn about the pack ,and write reviews and record review videos. However, they can't post those reviews and videos until Monday, Sept 9th.

Well IF we get the embargo lifted on Sept 9th, then I won't be bothering to check them out. I'll just play. And maybe watch afterwards to see if I may have missed vital info.

i know we're not supposed to do discussion here, since this is just for rom info (also, surprised you're posting the update stuff here as well, but thank you for it) but i'm so, so happy to see the basement split level thing fixed... i've got several households i couldn't play because of that (secret labs and such being inaccessible) and a fair number of lots i didn't want to visit because of it

Here is the post from the changed post.

I speculated about a waterfall death. Then realized he was joking.
