Experimental food-no group meal option?

I put a chef's station in my family's home, and just tried to have one of the teen daughters cook an experimental dish for the family, but she was only able to make a single serving, which she ate herself. I thought it was just the way the chef station worked, but then saw that the other categories had group options. Is this a bug, or is that just how it is? Seems silly to learn the recipes then not be able to cook them for other sims.

I think that it is how the pack has been designed, that there isn’t an option for group meals with the experimental food. There has been simmers on other threads also posting that would like to have the group meal option for these types of food.
