Detective bug?

I have played with the detective career a bit in the past. Aside from being a bit repetitive, it always worked.

I had my main sim join the detective career. He was tasked with fingerprinting and such, but there were no prisoners to process. In fact, three days going to work and there are no prisoners.

He put out APB, but the perp was no where around. Or his clues were wrong. Again he took a performance hit.

Are the active careers broken?

No mods or cc.

Other simmers are having the issue that the clues don't fit the eventual suspect. The AHQ EA thread refers to the issue.

You need to try arresting other sims that fit the description .
With there being no prisoners, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair
if the issue remains, you could have your sim quit his career then rejoin it and see if that helps
