Can't Graft?

I'm trying to graft a cherry cutting onto a strawberry plant, which I've done before. My sim has a level 7 gardening skill. Whenever I try to graft it, she goes through the animation, then does the "T" glitch/reset pose and nothing happens. Cutting is still in her pocket, the plant is still just a strawberry plant. Interestingly, I still got an achievement for finding a new plant through grafting.

So. Is this a known glitch? If so, is there any way to fix it?

Other simmers are also having this issue. It is caused when trying to graft a cutting from a plant that is within your same neighbourhood. Try travelling to another different neighbourhood to take the cutting instead,
