Where did all the books go?

I went to a library recently after a looong absence and was surprised to discover the only books on the shelves were for toddlers. Moreover replacing them from Build mode made no difference. When did this happen and why, or is it a bug?

I don't know if it's a bug or not. I went to the Willow Creek Archive Library. All that was in the bookcases were adult and children's books. I had no toddler books. I added a toddler's bookcase to the lot and now they show up in all of the bookcases. I would try adding an adult bookcase to see if the reverse works.

If you haven't already done this, go into build mode on the library lot and place a bookcase. Then test to see if the other books have returned.
There is also a room that Luthienrising has uploaded that contains the skills books bookcase. You may like to download this room to have the skill books in the library.

I was thinking about putting all of the skills books in my Sims inventory at home, then send him to the library and put them in a bookshelf so they would be available at the library. Is that possible? Would they be available to all of the Sims?

I wanted to steal a book from library and the shelves were empty! however sims still could read books from them, they are just empty when you want to open them
