Festivals On Top of Each Other «123...Next Go

The geekcon objects are not going away once festival is over. Please help. Other festivals at this location objects are placing on top of geekcon objects.

Edit : I just wanted to add here what has been found as a workaround since this post was first written
When a festival is next in that location, have your sim attend the festival and remain there completely to the end of the festival . Have him remain there until all the items disappear.
This should help to fix the issue,


Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there.
You may need to wait until the current festival finishes and another festival starts to see if the issue remains.

I added a litle more to my above post.
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there.
You may need to wait until the current festival finishes and another festival starts on another day to see if the issue remains

Also try starting a new save game and test to see if the issues occur there in that game also.

I have no custom content or mods. So that would make a difference. Is there a way to keep my current saved game and fix this?

Try waiting a few sims days or a week in -game until a new festival is spawned in the Fashion district of the world. When the next festival is spawned there, the issue may have resolved itself.

You could also try rolling back your save game file to an earlier version, before the issue occured. These links explain how to do that.

This happened to me as well, and with Geekcon, too. The next time that same festival is in the city, attend it, and stay until it ends. Things will disappear as normal.

It is good to know that the issue was fixed the next tiime that a festival was held there in your game. That is great!

I had this happen to me as well with the Spice and Flea Market Festivals. Staying at the Spice Festival until it ended allowed those items to disappear, but the flea market items are still there. I will try attending to the end of that festival next time it shows up in the city.

Also, in the Uptown district open space area the food stalls and the picnic benches are overlapping each other preventing the stalls from opening. I have tried going to that district and spending around a day there to see if they will change out like the carts do in the neighborhood my Sims live in, but so far they have not.

I have already performed the following troubleshooting. I have removed all my mods, repaired the game, and reset my Sims 4 folder, it hasn't helped. This is also on a save that I started when City Living came out, so it isn't an old save from a previous game.

I am on PC.

I am not sure if it would help but perhaps if you had your sims live in the uptown section it may perhaps help with the issue.

I am thinking the same thing. It seems that whatever district your active Sim lives in creates the food carts and festivals in the open spaces correctly, the districts where no active Sims live seems to create issues with items overlaying each other. I hope they can fix this with a patch, as I really don't want to have to have active Sims in every district at the same time.

I have items from both the Spice Festival and Flea Market overlaying each other in my Spice Market district. It's very cluttered right now, to say the least! 0_0 My sims who visited were from Windenburg and they did not stay until the festivals ended. I have since moved another household into the Spice Market, but the problem hasn't fixed itself, even after several days of playing. It just seems like more and more items piling up in the common space.

Try having your sims visit the festival next time that there is one being held in the Spice Market district, and have them remain there until the festival has ended and all the items have disappeared.

Quick update on the issues in my game. I played the Lobo household in the uptown district for a full day. At around 5 or 6am the common areas reset and the objects that had been transposed into each other cleared up. I also attended the flea market and stayed there until it closed and those items disappeared as well.

Haven't had a chance to check yet. Basically do you have to stay at every festival till it ends and the objects disappear for this not to be a problem.

The issues that simmers are having are when they haven't stayed to the end of the Festival . I don't know though if the issue occurs each time that you don't stay to the end. It would good to know what it occurs in your game if you test it.

I think that with the issue,it may be that just as long as the sim is at the festival whilst it is finishing and the items are disappearing, the issue will be fixed.
