My Sims had to dress festively for the Day of the Dead challenge. My girl here dyed her hair green for the occasion.
They went to the Oasis Springs park to look for Dead people. (Wait ... that didn't come out right. LOL.) They ended up seeing someone they knew dressed like a reveler. Dorian had to greet her with a bro hug.
They ended up getting two skulls from two different people. It's a start.
Apparently the Dia de los Muertos revelers like to come out at sunrise and sunset. Dorian and Dara managed to find a couple more walking around the front of the park in Willow Creek.
A silver-haired reveler started walking away before they could talk to her. Dorian ran after her. Come back!
But he was able to catch up to her, and managed to get a skull from her after charming her for a while.
Dara was also able to get a skull. Afterward, the sun was setting, and they changed into their athletic clothes so they could meditate in the park for a while. (I'd edited the park to include four meditation benches.)
This is my sim Marie Laveau. She's a voodoo practitioner, and she is the only sim in my game who will be completing the challenge. It really suits her! She has collected 2 skulls so far, but she is not very friendly so challenge sims do not usually give her anything lol
For the Day of the Dead challenge, I built this restaurant called "Dine with the Dead"
I used the free items from the challenge for decorations, and there's that box to display the skulls you find.
It also uses a lot of themes from the Spooky Stuff pack, with creepy spiders and cobwebs on the wall. The host is dressed in a Grim Reaper costume, the waiters in Zombie costumes, and there's two Chefs in the back. There's also a bar with espresso and tea, and upstairs there's an owner's apartment with castle roof access.
It'd be cool if someone could make the waiter or waitress an actual Ghost!!!
I'll get interior pics soon. I'm still playtesting it, but it's available for download on the Gallery. Look under "RachelRosebud" or "Dine with the Dead". Thanks!
Dorian managed to get another skull from a dark-haired woman, after she rejected him the first time. He managed to charm her for a bit, and then success!
My Sims changed clothes, and Dara dyed her hair from green to pink to go with the new dress. They decided to go to the ancient ruins in Windenburg, to see if any Dia de los Muertos revelers would show up. The bar had appeared there, even though there wasn't a party going on. (A glitch?) Dorian decided he'd practice some bar tricks and build up his skills while waiting for the revelers.
A reveler showed up! Looks like they do pass through the ancient ruins. He was walking through rather quickly, though, and Dara had to chase him like a cheetah bringing down a gazelle.
She got another skull from the encounter, though. Yay! Afterward, they went to the game room I built at the Oasis Springs park to play cards. Dorian lost. LOL.
They also went to the park in Windenburg, where Dorian's bean lunch caught up with him. Dang, man! Dara couldn't stop laughing.
They didn't see any Dia de los Muertos people there, though. Sigh. Better luck next time.

These are the skulls we have so far.
Thanks. I can't take credit, though. I got them both from the Gallery.
