Adopt a child wish/want

As the title says. Why don't sims have the option to want to adopt a child? I have been wondering this since the sims 3. Especially for sim couples that can't have a child naturally. I always thought it was weird that they can have the wish to adopt a pet(in the sims 3) but no wish to adopt a child. For me, I want my sims to want to do something rather than make them do it so I never use the adopt a child option very much. It'd be a nice thing to add in my opinion.

It's a good idea, and would be a great addition to the game.. I know that there's a whim for "try for baby"
