Hospital Receptionist

My Sim went to the hospital to have her baby, she tried to check in but was ignored by the receptionist. The people in the queue behind her were stamping their feet and jumping up and down. Her husband yelled at the receptionist and ended up fighting him, he went back to his desk and completely ignored the patients. My Sim went past her labour time, went home and had her baby. Therefore no birth certificate. Is this a bug or should I have waited a couple of days?

This issue has occurred in other simmers games also. Often when it happens, it can help to send your sim home, then have her return to the hospital,and the issue is then fixed and she can birth.
If you would like a birth certificate for the baby, there is one in debug in the build/buy catalogue.
Type in to the cheat box
testingcheats true
Then type in
bb.showhiddenobjects

Then go to build/buy catalogue and type debug into the search box, You will then find the birth certificate.

thanks sweet rose I got it to work for me after spending ALL day waiting to give birth in my game *hugs* it makes a really GREAT story line which I'm still working on and it is almost finished the birth party of my story line will post after I give birth I promise!!!

Congratulations on the birth of precious little Emily Katherine! It is nice that Scully had the daughter that you wanted her to have.It is a very special picture of Scully holding her new little baby! It was very nice reading the background story leading up to the birth. It was great that both Scully and Mulder were speaking and saying how they were feeling. The pictures posted are very nice. Thankyou very much for sharing the birth with us!

you are so welcome. I love to write and play Sims so it is a perfect match for me having my own legacy website now will be posting more on it like the whole wedding and everything soon. The wedding post is going to be really special also and might throw in a an X-Files case file post to it also
