I can't close my restaurant???

After purchasing my restaurant, I went home. The next 'day' I traveled to my restaurant, hired staff, and opened it. It was an okay first day, until I wanted to close it. I went to the restaurant panel and clicked the 'close' button. It made the bell noises but didn't change to 'open'. So I closed the panel and reopened it to find it saying 'close'. I clicked it a bunch more times, and it still makes the noise but doesn't close. So I went home and slept and went back the next day. My employees were still working and were exhausted. I had already clicked on the 'disallow new customers' option at the host thing to make sure nothing happens but my employees don't leave. To make matters worse, now when I travel to my restaurant it says I don't own it, but when I go home it says I do. When I try to purchase it I can't because it's already owned. BY ME. So then I'm like, okay let's sell it, but I can't because its noT MY RESTAURANT. I traveled 'yesterday' to find NO employees but a bunch of customers. Guess what, I can't hire more customers because it's NOT MY RESTAURANT. I'm going on 54 hours of my restaurant being opened. Help.

mmm that is very strange. Have you tried exiting the game and then reloading. Is it possible that you can go in the game options and by camera tick the show ui button and then taking a pic so we can see your restaurant panel when your sim is there. I am not a clever pc person but I will try and help you best I can

If you can screenshot or take an ingame pic with ui showing like mine below, it would be good to see whats up

Can you try repairing your game?

Also, try going to Manage Worlds, and from the map view, click on the restaurant lot and at the bottom right of your screen, you will a build icon. Click on that and when the lot is loaded, bulldoze it and place a new one. Then purchase it again.

Try going to map view, click on the lot that has your restaurant on it, and sell the restaurant. Then have your sims rebuy the restaurant. If you lose any restaurant perks, this is a link to cheats to restore them.

This just happened to me. At first only one employee showed up for work. I invited the others to hang out and they showed up just as friends. I then closed and opened the restaurant which got the employees to turn into employees again. But not I can't close the place, the button doesn't work. I'll just exit without saving.

I had this too, but I repaired my game through Origin and it hasn't come back since.

The same thing is now happening to me since the 6/16 update. Trying a repair of my game through Origin to see if that fixes the problem.

ETA: Yep, repairing the game worked. I was able to close the restaurant again.

The thing is, I can't sell the restaurant because I 'don't own it' but when I try to bulldoze it, it says I can't because it is 'owned'...by me...but I don't? I just updated my game and haven't tried it out yet so wish me good luck.

Did you try going to map view, clicking on the lot where the restaurant is, and seeing if you can sell it there?
