Botched birthday and caterer won't leave

Just thought I'd post these two glitches that occurred in a new save I'm playing to try out some things while playing vanilla.
I have solved this myself, but thought it might be interesting to see for others.
My Sim got an invitation to another Sim's birthday party.
Upon arrival at the venue, it turned out to be an empty lot in Newcrest.
I went straight into Build Mode and quickly built a residential with the necessary items for a party.
Only the inviting Sim, my Sim and a caterer (Mila Munch) arrived at the venue.
First, there was no cake, so my Sim baked one and placed candles on it.
The birthday Sim went over to the cake, blew once and then walked away without any aging action.
He just sat down to play some games/troll teh forums instead.
I tried baking two new cakes, but he would still not go over and blow out the candles.
The party ended and the birthday Sim left.
Now comes the even more interesting part...!
Mila Munch the caterer doesn't leave. In fact, it appears she is unable to leave or do anything to help her personal decay.
She moved out of the way for my Sim to be able to open the fridge. But she did not cook or eat anything herself.
She indicated bad hygiene, hunger and boredom, but remained stationary inside the kitchen.
She wet herself three times and moved out of the way for my Sim to mop it up.
Eventually, she died of starvation.
But I'm not that cruel, so my Sim pleaded with Grim and had her resurrected.
After resurrecting Mila I tried the social option "Go away", but she would still not leave the lot, even if she did go outside into the garden.
The solution to this issue? Go to Manage Worlds. When coming back to the lot Mila was gone.

The other option would have been to just not save the game.
In fact, I have one save from a Sim day before she dies and then another one from when she was resurrected. So in theory, I could play one game where she remains dead and see where that one goes.
It is good that you make save game versions of your game. If you have game issues you can then go back to an earlier save.

Two parallel universes - interesting!
As stated at the bottom of the first post, I just needed to go to Manage Worlds and the caterer disappeared from the lot.
I sort of worked that out quite early on, but thought I would play it for as long as possible (ie until she died) anyway.
This time it was a guest at a wedding who "got stuck" at the computer. Again, I just left the lot and the poor Sim was free again. But I'm wondering if I should report this as a potential bug? It does seem to be associated with social events, but not with hired staff as this was just a regular guest/friend of the marrying Sim.
I am sorry that the issue of a sim getting stuck at a social event occurred in your game again. Was it the same save game file or a different one?

I think this is a different one, since it's quite a few months ago the other one occurred.
What was strange about this one was that the guest seemed to be literally stuck in the chair in front of the computer. He kept waving to go to the bathroom and showing other distress moodlets, but he would not get up.

How do you mean? Don't I have to be playing that Sim to be able to teleport it?
I am sorry. You are right, it wouldn't work because you need to be playing the sim.
You could try using the resetSim cheat for the stick sim.
