My favourite career in GTW was at the hospital, but it always annoyed me that the other nurse just stood there and did nothing.
Have they fixed this yet?

No, a nurse in GTW will do nothing but stand and talk to patients or the other doctor. Orderlies are the ones who may mop or fix something. And no this is not a bug to be fixed. They said they programmed it that way so your Sim would be able to complete the list they gave you to do. If other employees are doing those things it would interfere with your Sim being able to actually complete those to do lists. But I would have preferred the hospital to actually function like Themed Hospital a little more and they actually do their jobs, too.
ETA: So, yes, nurses are still lazy in GTW.
I understand what they mean a little. But I don't need help with examinations, (my sim is now a medical specialist) it's just checking in patients would dramatically help. It makes me sad when patients just leave while my sim is in the middle of conducting surgery, when there's clearly open beds and available staff to help. For now, I've been manipulating the cues to quickly check in patients by avoiding walking back and forth.

In the scientist career track you have the ability (level 4+ ?) to ask you coworkers to garden, collect rocks, etc. I wish we could do that here in the medical career track; "ask to check in patients" at least would be great.
Oh, I agree. I wanted someone besides my Sim to take the patients to the examining rooms/beds and I thought it wouldn't hurt if another nurse was there, too, they could narrow things down a little and take a temp or scan the body. check someone's eyes, and refer them to my Sim if they didn't have any other skills. etc. I was disappointed they are all just in my way most of the time.
Absolutely. Perhaps open that option up once your sim is a general practitioner..or something? That would help tremendously.
Haha. I think the same thing sometimes. Especially when my sim running around all day while the nurse and receptionist are being chatty Kathys. I have my sim sit down in the cafeteria to quickly eat some yogurt to then be berated with requests to joke/chat. I'm like, "please leave me alone, let me eat in peace before I head back to work!".
Thanks for responding anywho
