Good evening simmers,
I am in the midst of building a lovely Georgian house with some friezes however I am stumped at what has happened to the interior ceiling between the gable and the second floor. It seems to me that the game thinks that my open-to-below landing/staircase is an outside however I have tried deleting the top floor and reapplying all the rooms and roofs however it is still looking peculiar when I put up the walls
Can any experienced builders please explain the fault here? I'm about to give up lol

This is work around for roof. You have a half-hipped roof to butt up against the wall (so it doesn't bleed through). Then use a gabled roof on only the front part to get the roof overhang. Not the best but that's what I do.
edit - friezes and wall trim are all about order. so: rebuild the floor in the foyer, remove any divider between the open part and the rest of the hall so its one room again, place frieze, rebuild your open foyer. works for me.
Excellent, thank you for your help managed to fix it
Happy Simming and building!
