Can't upload to Community Gallery

I've been trying to save/upload two of my households to the Community Gallery, but nothing appears there.
I click the upload button, there is no error message, but the household isn't there when I look for it.

I'm not sure if these details play into the problem:
1st household is a merge of two previous ones.
2nd household was originally uploaded with one Sim. This Sim was then cloned and deleted. I am trying to upload the new clone. (Could this perhaps be worked around by me taking down the first upload?)

Try checking to see if the " include cc content" box is ticked in the advanced section of the gallery filter. Even though you may not use cc/mods, it may help to tick it to make sure that you can see all your sims that you have uploaded to the gallery.

Ah! That worked for my own library, but it doesn't solve the issue with uploading to the Community side of it.

Have you used the cloud button to upload your sims to the community section?
Try searching the gallery using your username and see if you can find the sims.

It's very nice of you to be so helpful, but it would be great if you read the question before posting a reply that describes the exact problem I'm having. To reiterate: I can't upload to the Community Gallery. When I use the cloud button nothing appears there, but I get no error message.

Could it be that if a household has CC it can't be uploaded to the Community?

I am sorry that I misunderstood your issue. I thought that you meant that you were unable to find your sims after you had uploaded them to the community section.
Sims that have cc can still be uploaded to the community gallery.

Try shutting down your computer completely. Then restart the computer, launch the game and try to upload your sims to the gallery then.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then add back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.

I'm planning to start a new game, but I would like to keep some of my old Sims and play them in a different way. So I thought I'd save them to the Community, assuming my own library won't be available if I start a new game.

When you start a new save game, your sims that you have saved to your library will still be able to be accessed from your library. You can save the sims from your current game to your library, then can place them from your library into the new game.
You can access your library from all save games that you have.

Yes, that's one of the three that are visible. But I wanted to upload two others also.

Wait a minute! Whoa, now I feel stupid. The "include CC" wasn't ticked in Community view, even though I thought it was. Duh. They're all there. One is even there three times.
