All of my sims (even in when making new ones in cas) have an alien voice with an echo. This wasn't so when I played before. I've tried restarting, and changing the stereo settings. Any ideas?
If repairing doesn't work, try resetting your TS4 folder:
1. Move the whole TS4 folder out to Documents or desktop.
2. Delete the TS4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder if it's still there. Get into the game and play for a bit and then exit.
3. You will see a new TS4 folder in your Documents > Electronic Arts folder.
4. Copy all the Saves, Tray, etc files back to the new respective folders in the new TS4 folder and start the game again.
Hello
Is your sound working correctly for the rest of your computer?
Check that your sound drivers are up to date.
Try deleting the options.ini file and the config.log file and see if that helps.
If you have attached speakers, unplug and then put them back in.
This is another fix that has helped other simmers with similar issues.
Hover your mouse to the right corner of the bottom of the screen on that tiny speaker icon, then press right click and open playback devices and then scroll to the speakers with a green sigh on it icon. Then select advanced and be sure that the two options are selected: allow application to take control of this device and give exclusive mode applications priority. Now the last step is to lower or raise the Bits and Hz sound quality frequencies and click apply then try and start the game. Up (test) or down (test) freq adjustment
So I tried the options you all gave (thanks again for the help, I'm sure you're both busy). All the other sounds (ambient and music) sound fine. This is what my sims sound like. And for reference this is what alien sims sound like (at least mine have). Maybe I should call support? Or email them?
Edit: Sooooo my game froze (first time ever) and I had to do the whole alt+ctrl+del to and end the game and start it again. Uhm it's working just fine now. Thank you so much! I don't know what happened because I tried everything yesterday and just started pressing things now. Anyways thank you!

If not, try repairing your game.
