Emlpoyees w/ high stats not working

When running my bakery, the employee I hired (who has very high stats in all three retail employee categories), doesn't check customers out after I've asked her to - and she just stands around talking to everyone. I've seen her restock a couple things upon request, then just stand around, leaving the rest of the baked goods unstocked. Promoting her didn't help at all. A LOT of people have this issue. Will we get a patch that can fix this?
