Hi everyone, OK every now and then I need my fix of creating sculpted lots. Started the brown bear a while ago and decided to finish it. Soo... it's the teddy bears picnic at the park in progress. Still need to work on baby bear, landscaping, etc so a long way from being finished. What do you think I should make this lot? Should I make it a roller coaster lot? Park with tea room? Regular park with fishing and picnic stuff? Should I keep Mrs. Mouse or change her to a bear as well? What do you think? I would love your ideas.

Your teddy bears picnic build looks so very cute! It is very fun build! You are so very creative! Each of your ideas for the build sound great! Perhaps making it a park with a tea room could build on the teddy bears picnic theme. You could also have grills for sims to cook outdoors. Perhaps the tea rooms or the outdoors could have small teddies having tea parties as well. There could be an area in the build with play equipment for child sims. Perhaps include the barista bar in the build? But your other ideas sound great too!
ooo, I like your idea of a playground @rosemow . Gives me a freaky idea I'm going in-game to see if I can create. Hint... what do picnics always attract

Thanks for the input ladies. Leaning towards a kiddie park right now with lots of activities from toddler to teen. Was a pretty busy week so not much time to build. I tried experimenting with an idea to include activity ants and other critters but I think it's a bust. Below are a couple of screenshots of the first experiment (ignore the floating tiles... will fix later on). I'll take a look at the buy objects and see if I can moo anything together to look better than using friezes. If not, will delete the ants and try something else

You really do like the ants? That's cool. @anettesb they have 6 legs - 4 attached to the body and 2 attached nearer to the head which I used as arms (like the cartoons). I know they are stylized but working within game limitations. Had experimented with CFE, fencing and roofing objects but didn't work since the legs became invisible at ground level. The swings and columns were the best choices to hit the ground but I wanted the ants holding food so the last pair of legs is higher up. I was thinking to just delete the ants so it was very nice to receive the positive feedback. Thanks everyone. I still want to see if I can shape them out better next time I go in game.
Potential replacement of the ants (swings) could be a caterpillar. I was also thinking of adding a snail slide but that would be tougher to pull off with the CFE multiple curves. My aim is to blend activities into the picnic scene as much as I could. I've blended a pool inside the top of the picnic basket. Will add pics once I'm done with the seating. The see-saws would be great to make a spider but maybe too scary for a kids playground? Would love to hear any ideas

Worked on this some more today. I think the ants look much better using the rocks instead, do you?

The ants look great as rocks! It looks great that they are holding colourful cupcakes! The pool in the picnic basket looks very nice! The salt and pepper shakers look great there! Each of the teddy bears look very cute! It looks great how you have placed the paw print windows on the feet of the bears! It is nice that the bears are holding mugs in their hands or a plate of food. The black and white picnic rug looks very nice! It looks nice how you have done the playground area with the slides.
The build looks very creatively fun and nice!
Happy Canada Day to you! I hope that you have a nice day with you family!
Thanks very much @rosemow , @littlebirdie and @Meaganjo, I'm much happier with the ants now so will keep them, lol. OK, added in a tea room as Rose suggested. Tables for the grownups and the kiddies too. So... made a cake to house this and tidied up the slides to be part of the cake stand but may still tweak a bit. Next question... which cake looks better - Option A or Option B?

The Tea room looks very nice! It looks very nice how you have set up the tables and chairs for the adults to enjoy having a drink, then there is the cute animal themed chairs for the kids to have their tea party! The type of ceiling lights that you have used looks nice. The banner wall pattern looks nice. Both exteriors look so very nice! It looks so great how you have used the slides as the cake stand! The cakes both look so very nice! I can't choose between either of them!
Chipped away a bit this weekend. Couldn't resist adding a roller coaster and a bunch of activities. Will add more pics later this week since lots of tweaking still to be done. Anyway, wanted to show the cake in relation to the bears. Am thinking because Option 2 has pink and kinda quirky it may fit better into the kids theme but I still like the more elegant Option A. Hoping folks will help me make up my mind, lol.

I've been going back and forth on the cakes where as the simple yet elegant look is for adults and for the kids more clutter on the cake. I'm having a hard time making up my mind because well it is a tea room after all and that is mainly for adults... But both cakes look great, erg arg.
OK, I played with colours... based it off the ingame cake... not an exact match but inspired by since I found those beautiful wall roses. Hard to have windows that look like part of the design so I used the wall paper to tie them in. What do you think... a keeper?
