So I was at work...My sim finished his rocket ship and I looked up to see it take off, I missed the takeoff but saw this...It might be a little hard to see but the spaceship is sitting up there.

WHAT?! Sims don't really go to space?! HOW SHOCKING!

I watched it the whole time and it just sat up there lol, apparently half a mile above the ground is space in sims

I always wondered what happened when they launched off. I never would of thought that it just sits up in the sky.

Perhaps the SimWorld from TS4 is very small, and the outer atmosphere is therefore very close to the surface of their planet.
That would also explain why there's basically no space to build stuff, too.

If I use tab and zoom out like that all I see is fog.

I built several different rocket silos 4-6 stories on different lots and I have noticed that the rocket may not ever leave the lot at all. With the walls up I can still see the rocket trough the widows when it is supposed to be in space. When I put the walls down it's just the launch pad I see. When I put the walls back up I can see the rocket again. On top view in build mode while the rocket is supposed to be in space the rocket is still there.

If you upgrade your Ship, your Sim flies out of the atmosphere and onto another planet. I wonder what planet that is...

Well there are some more worrying questions now. If our Sims are just hovering over the house, where do they get those space rocks and aliens they bring back for us???

So Sims can't go to space? What is the point of having rocket ships when they could have at least included something else instead? I don't know, maybe toddlers?

I think they need to put restrictions on the tab camera for players not to go too far off.
