Trying to update my forum post

Hey there,
I'm trying to update my forum post, The Sims 4 Asylum Challenge, and I can't seem to update it with bullet points and bolded letters. I would like to be able to do this as it makes the post look better.

Hello.
Perhaps you are having problems because you made the post when you were still a new member rather than a full member? Pictures can't be edited into posts that simmers have made when they were still a new member, so I am wondering if the problems you are having editing your post may be like that?
