Mermaidic Kelp not working??

So I am pretty much an expert with mermaids in IP, but I have this one sim who is not an occult and not pregnant and the kelp which you get from the lifetime rewards won't turn him and I have no idea why! It works on other sims :( I tried restarting my game and that didn't help anything either. Please help simmers?!

This is a long shot, but try to delete your game cache, reboot your system and load the game to see if it helps.
To find the files goto: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3

In your 'The Sims 3' folder find and delete only these files:

- CASPartCache.package

- compositorCache.package

- scriptCache.package

- simCompositorCache.package

- Sims3Logs

- Sims3LauncherLogFile

Rebooting your system should dump the RAM (which the game may have stored some junk in.)
The game will rebuild these files during launch so it's possible that it'll correct your problem.
