I've seen twice now, you point out someone for necroposting to an old thread with a solution to a problem which had no solution... You tell us to got to a link which describes necroposting... and this is word for word what's on the page.
Add new and helpful information. If you have insights not yet shared, it's 100% ok to bump the discussion regardless of the timestamp. Future Simmers will definitely appreciate this and it justifies the revival of older and potentially outdated discussions. Please do post answers if you come across an unresolved thread. Other people may stumble upon them and find that your answer helps.
So I'm asking honestly, what are the actual rules if that's exactly what's happening on these old threads?
