Glitch or something Im doing wrong with school

My sims are smart and they do their homework they dont miss school and half the time I choose cheats to keep them happy when they go to work or school. My teen also has several skills and she is only required to have 2 so why do i keep getting bad negative messages saying shes doing average or under the standard when her performance bar is in the fullest of green? I brother is doing great but even though she her performance bar is full and her mood is positive and her homework is done and she has many skills she wont get an A ????

Hello.
There was a fix in today's patch for where teenagers and children weren't getting the right credit for their school work. I am not sure if it relates to your issue. After you have updated your game, it may help to fix your issue. The patch notes are here
