sorry i should have added more info to drivers a good way to think of drivers is as the software that makes your video card work better with other programs, especially games. updating them regularly typically helps you maintain good game performance. so update and and then review card setting in nvidia card panel and then review in game settings as well. updating drivers can change settings.

Recommended Requirements is for desktop not laptop and gets you playing the sims on ultra . Recommended is for people whole intend on playing this whole game with all eps patches etc. It is always advised to have a computer that meets or exceeds the recommended requirements when playing the sims because packs , eps and patches make the game more demanding
Since they dont sell 600 series cards anymore. The game requires GTX 650 a replacement since it is no longer sold would be (if buying new for desktop ) GTX 750, GTX 950 or higher for the sims 4. The 900 series being newer and better cards

You said it will not run any of the sims 4 games but I have all except one and it runs but goes slow. What laptop should I get that would run all sims 4 games with no lagging? And nothing ridiculously priced

Had a look at the specs you posted and...
Pentium is too weak for gaming, really you need Intel core i5.
Your video card is weak but playing on lower setting it'll be fine.
4gb of ram is fine but 8gb is ideal.
Get a new processor. If you can afford it replace your ram with 8gb ram.
If you can afford it, look into a stronger video card. Nvidia GeForce gtx 660ti will last you through sims 4.

If someone is buying new they should go for a 900 series card unless they have a really tight low end budget and dont want to save for a better cmputer. New is better and the 960 card is perfectly fine for this game and playing more modern games. 960 card is one of the more affordable cards

It would be more thn enof. A 980 for most games will be enof.
But it'd be ideal for future proofing. 960 for sims I suppose then.
Reccomended gets you on medium if I'm correct and reccomended is only a gtx 650.
So I'm sure 700 series are above the reccomended and therefore they'd get you on better settings.
960 however, would you notice that much difference between it and a 780?
Without considering other games tho.
If you also run other games, a higher graphics card is definatly a better option.

You make no sense
Recommended Requirements is for desktop not laptop and gets you playing the sims on ultra . Recommended is for people whole intend on playing this whole game with all eps patches etc. It is always advised to have a computer that meets or exceeds the recommended requirements when playing the sims because packs , eps and patches make the game more demanding
Since they dont sell 600 series cards anymore. The game requires GTX 650 a replacement since it is no longer sold would be (if buying new for desktop ) GTX 750, GTX 950 or higher for the sims 4. The 900 series being newer and better cards

Since integrated cards are basically glued to the motherboard, the only option is to buy a new laptop altogether.
Gaming laptops (Yes, the Sims need a gaming computer) range around $1,000; $900 if you are lucky.
Gaming desktops range around $800; possibly $700 if you are extremely lucky.

Why are you even mentioning a 980 and 780?
The simple fact is the 960 is the best card for your money. It's bang for buck the best.
It will get you better performance then a 750 without a huge price tag.

If you must have a cheap gaming laptop, a Y40-80 series laptop would run the Sims 4, but it would be currently unknown how long the graphics card would last through the Sims 4's life span.
