But yet everyone is crying about EAxis being greedier than ever when this point in Sims 3's life we already had almost $200 worth of extra content staring us in the wallet.
I think we're getting more bang for our buck from the Expansion Pack and Game Pack. It's just creating new ideas now. Thank you EAxis for all the hard-work and devotion towards the game!
Edit: When you spell a word wrong, and it still gets 11 likes......I am literally pathetic.

Yup. But you misunderstood something, obviously.
We were talking about Sims Freeplay and Dungeon Keeper on phones.
Google for "the worst games in 2014" and among top 3 I bet you'll find DK. Reason it's so bad? EA's greed.
Most of their development time went to the patches and game packs, now it's forward onto Expansions.
It's a rocky start for sure, here's to hoping for the better as time moves. Though if the expansion and the idea of Game packs is to show, there's hopefully going to be a light at the end of this tunnel sixaM managed to get themselves into.
You're getting that stuff because EA knows they lost a bunch of longtime simmers. Also, you're getting a bunch of stuff but it's about quality not quantity. Apparently from what people are saying is that even with all that additional stuff the game still feels empty. We're allowed to complain about them being greedy. Especially if we compare them to other companies.
Odd. I see people fussing over wanting a return of stripped and missing features, not "crying" over EA greed. In fact, most of the "crying" as you put it, seems to be done by people who seem to feel the need to defend and champion the game.
I like how you lump people together with "everyone". You know this for a fact do you?
No one was forced to buy from the store but at least there was extra content available if one wanted it.
And I can't think for a moment why anyone would ever think that quadruple the amount of patches in that comparison is a GOOD thing.
Why thank you Kuypers, the thought that the quadruple amount of bugs and issues that required fixing would be fixed by said quadruple amount of patches, had never entered my head.
Edit - and really that's just a tired old excuse. If the game wasn't as broken as its predecessor, and if they stopped breaking a myriad of other things every time they released another fail patch, then it wouldn't require over a DOZEN patches in its short life, now would it?

Yeah, like EA gonna put out lots more content to sell when what's out isn't doing well on the market. Maybe if the sales were comparable to sims 3 at the same time, I'd bet EA would have tried to push more in Sims 4.
Nothing to see. I don't even care about the forums.
I don't think this is a very good comparison because weren't the patches for items that weren't in the original game to begin with? Also if I remember correctly the Sims 4 initial cost was more than Sims 3 I believe. I do like the graphics of the Sims 4 but do wish it had the initial same content starting out as a base game and less loading screens would be nice. You really don"t realize how much is missing till you read posts like I read one the other day about the world editor and the pattern creator not being in this which we had with Sims 3. I had forgotten about those. There is just so much that was taken out and people just would like a equal product for the price they are paying. I don't see whats wrong with that. I am playing Sim 4 but like others have a hard time playing the game for very long as I lose interest quickly with not much to do in the game. I think part of why I am getting bored so quickly is that toddlers were a big part of my family and its really hard for me to play without them. Not much you can do with the baby. I am excited about the new EP coming out but I really hope that it has more to offer than what has been shown cause it looks a little light for a EP. World adventures had a lot to that game and I hope this first EP matches up to it. Happy Simming!

Again, EA being greedy too much currently has nothing with Sims 3 nor Sims 4.
Currently. That can still change. Let's hope it won't.

More patches means that there's a much greater likelihood of problems being fixed.
And that a lot of the bugs are fixed faster
Sims3 didn't get nearly as many Bug-Fix patches as it needed, and it shows.
Sims 3 was worth the money for me. Sims 4 is not.

With TS3, it was neither. :disagree:
24 patches
3 more so called "free" patches lmao
Another EP (better start praying for hope)
A store - when Jesus comes down from heaven
Yes -- all base games but the base game of Sims 4 had pools.
TS2's base game even had hot tubs.
Yes.
