Freeze and lags on Ultra Speed

I've been putting up with it for a while now, but its driving me mad.

When I use ultra speed, 9/10 times the game will lag, time continues but they don't do anything. Sometimes time can click onto the next day before it stops lagging and goes back to the right time.

I've tried laptop mode, closing background programs, going offline on origin - nothing works.

Any advice would be great :)

Lol I've never had ultra speed even work for me, and I've had the game since launch day. :/ If I try to use ultra it lags horribly and even if it's not lagging it still moves at the default play speed.

Its making the game unplayable because I like ultra speed and otherwise I am sitting for 5 mins waiting for them to return from work!

Mine doesn't tend to lag on ultra speed even on my laptop. Have you tried Repairing your game? Might help...might not.

Try a full cache clear to see if it stops:

    1. Move (not copy) Saves, Tray and Mod folders and Option.ini file to your desktop.
    2. Delete the rest of the The Sims 4 folder from your Documents > Electronic Arts folder.
    3. Start the game, exit the game, and move those on-the-desktop folders and files back to the Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder.
    4. Delete the Scratch subfolder from inside Saves. Then start the game again.

If not, it could just be that your computer can't keep up with the calculations at that speed. Post your DxDiag info, all of it. Multiple posts is okay. http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

I've done all of those things, i've repaired a million times, no CC, on low graphics - and its still lagging and freezing non-stop. Time passes but they are just stuck.

Its making the game unplayable and its unbelievably frustrating.

It looks like your laptop doesn't have a dedicated graphics card and you're only using the Intel card for the game, which isn't very good. It could be the cause of the lag.

Unfortunately your laptop does not meet the requirements to play the game You have a weak processor and an integrated video card. The games requirements are for desktop not laptop, laptops are weaker than desktop. Minimum requirements are for base game only with no patches eps etc. One should meet the recommended requirements of mid range gaming desktop if you want to survive the game as more and more gets added to the game. If you must play on laptop than you need you need a higher end gaming laptop to equal that of the games desktop requirements. Do you have another computer you can play on because the game will only get worse for you as you add more.
