Annoying Map Llama Bug «12...Next Go

Why is this happening? I cleared my cache, went on the game and this happened.

Out of curiosity, exit the game, right click on it in Origin, and select "Repair Game". It looks like some thumbnails are missing. That may trigger them to regenerate.

I posted on here about this the other day and got accused of photoshopping the picture by one lovely member.

I also got it after clearing the cache, maybe I deleted something I shouldn't have. But luckily a simple repair fixed it.

I think I was trying to clear my cache and went back on and that happened.

It must be contagious. I'm not getting the llamas on the map, but they have started replacing some of the thumbnails.

When I make cc and use custom swatches they have llamas there too.

I know this post dates all the way back into December, but when I opened up my game today my world maps had the same llamas all over them. Also, all of the new homes I have built have vanished. I built three or four places in Newcrest and suddenly there's absolutely no trace of them. I haven't played in a couple of days and this 'llama bug' and missing homes were quite the surprise to come back to.

I exited the game and right-clicked in origin to repair the game, however it did not help. Llamas are still everywhere and my houses are still missing.

Hello.
Shut down your computer completely, then start the computer again. Go back into the game and see if that helps.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Start a new game and test to see if the llamas are still there. Exit the game and then add back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders, testing after replacing each one to make sure the game is working okay.

Thank you for your help!
Unfortunately it looks like my saves file is the one that's been corrupted- as soon as I dragged it into the folder and started the game back up I had llamas again.

Try rolling back to an earlier version of your corrupt game file.

You need to have origin to play the game. Where did you purchase the game? I am just checking. Is it a legal copy or a downloaded copy?

You will have this issue, as well as other game issues if you play using a downloaded copy. Downloaded copies are illegal.
Recently, many online and offline stores have been having sales, and have reduced the price of the Sims 4 base game and packs by a big discount. There will also be more sales leading up to Christmas. It is great time to purchase a legal copy of the Sims 4 game. You won't then have the game issues that come with illegal copies.

There has been many mods/cc broken by the latest patches /ep. Check to see if you have any of these mods/cc

Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues.
If it does help, then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

I am so frustrated. I just bought the pets expansion pack and when I opened the game and hit the play button, there is a picture of a gray llama and it says I have no funds. It will not let me load a previous house or play off a previous game. I have shut down my Mac and restarted and even repaired the game and all expansion packs through origin. Please help!

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.

Hey this lama bug just started happening to me, i'm not really sure what to do, i just added a new bundle pack with jungle adventure, fitness stuff and toddler stuff. I've got lots of lamas on my map when i tried to move my first family in. I tried right clicking origin like it said above but i didnt get a repairs option plus i went into the folders and i have no idea which ones to separate to find out which one is the fault
Could i have some help please?
