@Penndra, there are actually 19 plantables in the Base game. They are:
Apple, Bell Pepper, Burger Patty, Cheese, Death Flower, Egg, Flame Fruit, Garlic, Grape, Lettuce, Life Fruit, Lime, Money Tree, Omni Plant, Onion, Potato, Steak, Tomato and Watermelon.

You might find this page from the wiki useful as it includes a table of most of the harvestables, though not those that were added by the newer venues and sets.

@Penndra, sorry I have been away from the forums for a while as I haven't been playing The Sims 3 much lately. Did you ever get my link to work? I got an extra http at the end of the link which shouldn't have been there, sorry about that. The correct link should be

Thankyou! That page looks super helpful.
Is there an easier way to tell which game the game icons refer too? I don't remember which icon goes to which.

@Penndra, if you hover your mouse over the icon, you will get a tool tip that will tell you which expansion it refers to :)

PS, if you want a complete list, have a look at your 'My Page' on thesims3.com. Down the left hand side, all the EPs, SPs and worlds are listed showing their icons. Likewise, hovering over one will give you a tip showing the name, including the greyed out ones which you don't own.

Oh. cool. I might need to get a new mouse. The clicking spring is worn so it double clicks everything and messes up hover text. I'll figure it. Thankyou!

If you have Seasons, I notice there are seeds daily on the festival grounds. Otherwise it is hit & miss. Go to far off parks and places on the edge of town and you're more likely to find seeds, gems & bugs. You can also just buy the food at the store and plant it. There are only a few items that have to be found as seeds, and they are all gardening level 7 & up, so early on, I just buy a bunch of stuff from the grocery store & plant it to get my skill up, which scoping out town for places seeds seem to spawn.

I've noticed in the worlds I've played in, the downtown parks , in the center of town, tend to have bad and foul quality seeds, rarely above fair.

If you want to start with the plants instead of seed finding there's a lot on the exchange Heritage Gardens 4.0 that has up thru seasons for harvestables.
1 Featured Look, 1 Complications and 1 Venue to go.

MMAO thinks I own the store! Saving my way to Midnight Hollow Gold until EA makes The Golden Ticket Shop buyable.

Ok, from what I know the plant list (complete!) should look like this by game: Base, World Adventures, Late Night, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, University Life and Into the Future for Crystal Plants. Add in Grandpa' Grove, Bohemian Garden, Old Mill and Stones Throw Greenhouse and that is every harvest-able available in TS3, not counting the pre-planted Cow Plant from Killer Classics since he comes with his own pot and can't be planted/harvested. That winds up being one big list! Carl's had the whole list minus the store ones, which I hope I have correct below.
    Store Plant list
    • Orange (Grandpa's Grove)
    • Pecan (Bohemian Garden)
    • Strawberry (")
    • Raspberry (")
    • Cocoa (")
    • Blueberry (")
    • Blackberry (")
    • Peach (?) <- not kidding, use the ITF Food Synth machine to find it and Pear.
    • Corn (Old Mill)
    • Cucumber (Old Mill)
    • Lemon (Humble Harvest/Al Fresco)
    • Pear (?)

Does anyone have a favorite lot from the exchange that utilizes the greenhouse and the tractor from Grandpa's Grove?
