We opened up ladybug lofts to go with the fruit trees we opened up last winter.
For the last day of winter we opened up winter objects, meaning that we can buy 4 objects everyday except when the snow is deep enough for snow angels.
We bought 2 windows and a door...
And, a wedding arch...
Since they're planning on having another having another kid, but they didn't open up phone services they decided to tie up some loose ends at the store and hired a new employee, Caryl Dawn.
And, they're going to start grooming Jerome for management.
With two employees the store runs like a well oiled machine. They always have a cashier and a flower arranger. There's always a salesperson making sure that the cashier has work to do, and we have an extra to make paintings, restock, or to jump on the register if need be. (Check out the Dirk-wannabe)
After work, Andrea invites all her best girls out to help her get ready for the big day.
One dress wasn't quite right.
Another was totally wrong.
Some were cool.
But, at the end of the day she found the right one, but no peeking.
I supposed they all had a good time, because Ivy came by with a pink flamingo.
Right now, my family, Gud and Mizzie Fortune have 8 kids:
Triplets = Lana, Lara & Lola are Juniors in Sims State. They each are engaged. The guys are also in Sim State.
Twins = Tara and Tora are teens and skilling nicely. They need all the scholarships they can get.
Son = Larj is a child. Will be a teen soon.
Twins = Dana (girl) and Dane (boy) are toddlers but about to grow up.
The house is slowly coming along. After the need to add on to it for the expanding family, there is still some construction to be done on the first floor and one bedroom on the second floor. I'm hoping to get that room fixed up for the boys.
It's fall so there's planting, fishing and construction. I've unlocked the ladybug thingy and decided to give them road services because I need double deliveries. LOL
Are they taking the challenge too? I ask because I'm going to let my trips move downtown, just to fulfill their LTW and then move them back to the town to take the challenge as well.
@ErnesaT, which challenge are you referring too? Eraina's gen 2, but she still a child. I have the aging off right now. I plan on ending this once I open up all the options. I have about 5 left.
Oh. I'm still playing my family. They have 10 children: 1 set of triplets, 3 sets of twins and 2 sons. I had so much fun with this challenge that I'm going to let the triplets do the challenge too. I'm trying to see if I can get one family to establish a whole town.
I guess I just turned this into a legacy. I'm debating on who will inherit the family home. Aging is on. Thank you for starting this.
My RL is sucking lemons, too, right now. LOL. I hope all works out well for you.
ITM, I am still playing my same family. Gud and Mizzie Fortune have become elders. They still have 3 kids at home. I've decided to play this as a legacy. The oldest son is going to inherit the house. All of the other kids will move downtown, as they graduate from Uni. Most of them have been matched up in Uni so their prospective mates will move with them downtown.
The kids will all get a career and, once they max their career, will be sent to live off the land.
After the wedding, I debate whether or not to send them on a honeymoon. Sigh. It might be fun...it might tedious and big money blower...
What the hey...
Japan, Camping, or Hawaii? Hmmm... if it was me, I'd want to go to Hawaii, so, Hawaii it is.
They choose to leave immediately and to stay for 4 days at the cheapest hotel, the Blossom Wood Hotel. (Hey, they're used to roughing it, right?)
Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing for their guests,
Malcolm Landgraab IV
and Ivy Copur.
Yet, something tells me that they're just happy to get some attention from the woman behind the screen, or maybe I'm just taking my deity complex too far.
People don't usually take their best friends on their honeymoons, but they had to take Eraina (no babysitting services) so why not some adults that could possibly do some babysitting.
At least, Andrea's happy, not sure why she's still in her coat.
Hmmm... It looks like they have to stay in the same room. That's going to plumb: Happy Honeymoon, Andrea and Dirk, looks like you're going to have to make the woohoo while everyone else is at the pool.
Ok, I think I've figured it out. It's going to be expensive, but I got the newlyweds their own room and everyone else will be staying in the big one.
Hmmm...surprised that I can't control Ivy and Malcolm.
First thing I'm going to do is get Andrea and Eraina out of these coats and into some bikinis.
Andrea isn't having none of that diving board.
Okay, Andrea, is that coat your security blanket or something.
Eraina shows her mom how it's done.
And, Andrea decides to try again.
Way to conquer those fears!
I figure that for the first day I'd let everyone use their freewill not that I have a choice with Malcolm and Ivy.
Malcolm has me worried, he begins the vacation with a devious look in his eye and dark thoughts on his mind.
Now, I see what he was up to.
Malcolm's like, "why should Dirk get all the fun, hey, Ivy let's make the most of this 1 star resort and christen this low rent mattress."
After Ivy gives Malcolm the stink eye, he decides to go for a little swim.
Ohh la la! Nice speedos, Malcolm!
Andrea and Dirk get frisky.
After a couple sim hours i suspect things are going to get boring so I have Andrea speak to the tour guide.
I was expecting him to tell me where to learn the hula, but instead he suggests that Andrea unbeach the Jolly Roger. Isn't that a flag not a ship? Is he serious, or is this something we can actually do?
Okay, maybe we should pick a spot and just go.
Dirk and Andrea could use some time alone, so, I make it just the two of them.
They decide to go to the Ancient Ruins of Numchuck.
Dirk and I aren't sure what to think of Numchuck but Andrea takes one look at it and leaps into Dirk's arms.
Then they decide it's not a bad place to make out.
It might be better without the voyeurs.
There doesn't seem to be much to do here, but they're both hungry so let 'em eat.
vacations are always fun ....about the jolly roger, if you go to one of the beach lots, I think it's called South End beach you'll find the jolly roger and you can play on it and explore the captain quarters and what not it's a lot of fun and even has a few surprises
You have to wait for natives to start dancing near the speakers. When they start dancing, you can send your sim over to "join" them and your sim will learn the dance.
I'm going to create a few more families so that my other families have someone to grow up with and marry. Of course, all Gen 1 will abide by the rules.
The next morning starts with Dirk sleeping in. Not too bad, it's only 9:30, they are on vacation after all. But, Andrea looks kind of restless, and Eraina dressed and ready to go.
Ivy's cleaning up after the maid.
And, I just clicked Malcolm's icon and saw much more of him than I bargained for. Here is the "not too hot for the forum" version of what I saw. Feast your eyes on this ladies:
Actually, I was wrong. Andrea was getting into bed, and Eraina is both famished and tired.
How do I feed Eraina in a hotel? Doesn't appear to be any continental breakfast service, and... nope, children can't call a taxi. Hmmm...
She can walk next door, but she needs to be accompanied by adult.
Dirk is the most energized, so, he's the one to sacrifice himself to keep the social worker away.
Okay, we're going to the Fruitville Village because they promise "the best fruit salad available on the island."
I don't know about the salad, but Eraina seems to enjoy the ribs.
Now that we've taken care business, let's do something touristy.
Eraina wants to: get a picture; learn a local gesture, go on a tour, and learn the hula.
That looks like the gesture that my Hawaiian roommate used to tell me about. Okay, holly-girl lets see if we can figure this out.
I try to kill two proverbial birds with one stone and have Carla take our picture, but everyone walks away making what would be a rather lousy picture.
So, out desperation I take picture of the food counter. It's kind of cool, and it satisfies Eraina's wish.
Maybe if we give her main-lander high five she'll show us how to do that niffy thing with her hands.
Alas, after talking with her, we learn nothing. I let Eraina get one more meal in and then we go back to the hotel to catch up on some ZZZs.
But, while we wait, Dirk decides to play cupid.
"Hey, man, why don't you go there and show Ivy some of your cool dance moves."
Once again, Malcolm tries woo Ivy with his manly prowess.
And, once again, Malcolm has failed to impress the fair maiden.
It's 6:00 pm, we're in beautiful Hawaii, we're spending over a grand a day, and how are we enjoying it?
We're in dream land.
I'm half tempted to hit maxmotives cheat, but that would break my perfect record in this LRCP challenge. So, I guess will let them sleep, and hope that Malcolm and Ivy does something interesting.
Caryl Dawn demonstrates the "Hang Loose" expression to Malcolm.
And, he's like, "Please, I've seen it already. My private jet flies me out to Hawaii all the time.
"Besides, it's time for my bubble bath."
Let's see what Ivy's up to.
Watching TV.
Everyone's energy bar is above medium so maybe we should go look for some excitement. It's dark out, and that makes for lousy pics, but what the hey.
Let's go to the Twikkii Beach Boardwalk.
I'm liking this place so far.
Andrea and Eraina want to go for a swim. I suppose it's safe for a sim to swim at night. I wouldn't want to, that's when wildlife comes out.
Then Andrea does some shopping.
She wanted to do some jewelry shopping but it turns out she couldn't reach them.
Well, she can still buy some souvenirs.
Eraina watches the fire dancer; she hoped he could teach her the hula, but no such luck.
As much as they were enjoying themselves that had to leave soon, because Eraina was exhausted.
And, maybe it was past Dirk's bedtime too.
"Hey, what's that?"
"Ha, ha, I totally tricked you."
It's 5 am when they get back, and everyone's tired. Hopefully, they'll catch some ZZZ's before it's time for more fun.
@Athena and @cmbaker ..... I love vacations in TS2. I always send my teens to Uni before they age up. Around their Junior year, I start sending them on "spring break".
All my married sims go on honeymoons, unless I'm playing a challenge where they can't leave the lot/town/building.

Here's the flower girl about to see her parents' married.

Then a serenade.
