So pretty much if we have Intel graphic card the baby will forever be deformed?
I am starting to think so. I was actually coming to post here that when I am on my computer that has the Intel/AMD graphics system I get a demon baby. However, I installed the game on my years old computer that has an AMD/AMD graphics system and I've charming little babies. So it has to be an issue with Intel and whatever duel card system it is connected with. Just thought I'd mention it. I'll have to go check out that Laptop Mode on my demon baby laptop and see if it works.

Sooo Grant, life-stages, pools and basic career paths aren't part of common life? Nice to know, indeed. Should tell those demon babies why they are hated, they are not part of common life :P
The demon babies is an unfortunate bug we didn't catch. We believe it is due to a very specific hardware configuration. We are working on a fix RIGHT NOW and will share more info as soon as we have it. It's regrettable, but we're doing our best to fix it. We're also improving our process to avoid this (hopefully) in the future. Typically, when there is a graphics card issue, it affects many things. In this case it seems (fingers crossed) to only affect babies. That's partially why we missed it. Not making excuses, just explaining. We're on it. We're sorry.
We shipped the game with 8 careers, all of which branch, and have tons of content. I think we had 10 in previous games without the same amount of content. Sorry we didn't get all the ones you like. Please post your suggestions and we'll do our best to get them in.
As for pools and toddlers, we've noted this elsewhere, but we had to make decisions about certain things. We weren't able to do both of these and some of our other content and we made a call. Obviously it's been very unpopular with many of our fans. We know this and we're working to make it better.

Geez, how about fix the issues and stop trying to tell players it's their machines. I mean really it's getting old...it's a glitch that is caused by your game, not by the users machines. My laptop is brand new, runs all the Sims 3 games just fine and this one runs just fine but the baby deformity is the issue. So tired of the runaround from this company; fix your issues and stop having us running around as if we need to fix it for you. I'm sorry don't mean to sound rude, but it's annoying that this is the first thing EA wants to blame; the users pc/laptops; knowing that they released a game with lots of glitches. Just admit there are issues or don't admit, fix them and we are done!
Hi guys, I too have the issue. I have configurable graphics. Radeon HD 7670M and Intel HD 4000. I have updated the drivers from the official websites. I have configured the switchable graphics. The baby issue still remains. This concerns me because in theory the Intel card should NOT be being used. Any help would be appreciated!
Adding my info in case it's helpful. I seem to have the same problem as others with dual graphics cards. I went through the steps to make sure the game is running off my NVIDIA card. The icon in the system tray shows that the game is indeed running on the NVIDIA card. I checked the drivers, and it shows I'm running the most up-to-date driver.

2) I bought the disc but used the code to download through Origin

4) It won't let me, but it looks like everyone else's

The original post has been updated with the patch notes link that was released today. It appears to be working so make sure you patch update your game.
Apparently they have now released a patch which fixes this unfortunate demon-baby issue! (I can't post links on this forum yet but you should be able to find more info about the patch on the help section of the website etc.)
I purchased my copy of the game digitally through Origin, and when I fired Origin up a minute ago, it did automatically perform an update for Sims 4. Fingers crossed this update fixes my poor babies!

I am starting to think so. I was actually coming to post here that when I am on my computer that has the Intel/AMD graphics system I get a demon baby. However, I installed the game on my years old computer that has an AMD/AMD graphics system and I've charming little babies. So it has to be an issue with Intel and whatever duel card system it is connected with. Just thought I'd mention it. I'll have to go check out that Laptop Mode on my demon baby laptop and see if it works.

I too have the issue. I have configurable graphics. Radeon HD 7670M and Intel HD 4000. I have updated the drivers from the official websites. I have configured the switchable graphics. The baby issue still remains. This concerns me because in theory the Intel card should NOT be being used. Any help would be appreciated!

I purchased my copy of the game digitally through Origin, and when I fired Origin up a minute ago, it did automatically perform an update for Sims 4. Fingers crossed this update fixes my poor babies!
