Hi, my name is D'ajah Imani Murray-Charles. Huge huge fan of The Sims franchise,
I've been playing this amazing game when I was 5 or 6 years old when the first ever game came out.
I'm 18 years old still playing, creating new families and stories in my head that are coming to life. A couple months ago I had to wipe my computer clean, which uninstalled all of my games. I updated my computer to windows 10 and redownloaded everything ( or at least attempted to). When I was going to download the Sims Medieval, an error message came up saying " DirectX Setup Error: an internal error occurred". I tried everything to fix it but it came down to me getting bounced back and forth between EA/Origin and Windows online chat agents. Finally, someone from Windows said that both of my games The Sims 4 and The Sims Medieval weren't compatible with my computer being on Windows 10 and the only way for me to play was to put it back on Windows 8. That meant a factory reset, that could possibly cause me to lose everything if something went wrong.
Long ridiculous story short is there any way for you guys to work on older version of the Sims franchise to be compatible with the current and upcoming Windows update? I really don't want to either get a new computer and have to lose my files during the transfer or lose my files to a factory reset just to play one of my favorite games. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.
Thanks for creating such an amazing franchise and I can't wait for more stuff.
Sincerely D'ajah <3
